MJ Vea Financial Aid Fund

Hi! My name is MJ Vea.

Born prematurely and not expected to survive, I entered the world against all odds. Raised by a single mother, I grew up learning the power of resilience, determination and perseverance. Despite adolescent challenges with weight, my skeletal and cardiovascular systems, I have never let my circumstances define me. I was able to play volleyball for seven years without restrictions. Through years of hard work and a deep commitment to my education, I’ve defied expectations, and today I am proud to be on the path to success as an incoming freshman at Michigan State University. This journey from survival to potential scholarship will shape my passion for overcoming obstacles and striving for excellence in all that I continue to do.

For this fundraiser, I am working with LOVB Foundation, Inc. is operating through a CA non-profit public benefit corporation using fiscal sponsorship with Players Philanthropy Fund, Inc. (Federal Tax ID: 27-6601178, ppf.org/pp), a Texas nonprofit corporation with federal tax-exempt status as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
