Volleyball means a lot to me. I started playing way later than a lot of girls that play at the higher level who usually start in elementary school. That never stopped me, that just made me want to work even harder to catch up. I fell in love with the sport, and since then, I’ve pushed myself to improve every time I step on the court. I was really proud to make varsity as a freshman this past season, and even more proud to be a starting player. I also earned All-Conference, which was such a big moment for me and showed me how far I’ve come. I go to Lincoln, where we don’t have a head coach or real training support for volleyball, so I’ve had to find ways to grow on my own. I take every chance I can to get better, and that’s why this opportunity means so much to me. I know that playing club volleyball will help me become a better player and give me access to better coaching and competition that I don’t have at school. At the same time, I’ve been able to keep up with my grades and earn all A’s while being a student-athlete. It’s not always easy to balance everything, but I care about my future and know how important school is. I’m dedicated, I work hard, and I’m so excited for the chance to grow and compete in club volleyball.
