Today I wanted to share Valkyrie's story with you. In the quiet of a Tuesday evening, after our rescue partners doors had closed, a sweet mama dog and her pups were dropped safely in their after hours holding pen.

Valkyrie arrived an extremely emaciated young mama dog, abandoned with her four two-month-old puppies – Blyth, Rhea, Wren, and Sora. All five, arrived in fragile health but are now getting the care they need.

Valkyrie, at just a year and a half old, has already endured so much but her spirit shines through. Despite her rough start in life, she's showing her puppies and those caring for her so much love and affection. Her puppies all arrived battling severe hookworm infestations and malnourishment, but we know we can give them the lives they deserve.
