From crisis to recovery: one more step for this brave cat

Dear Friends,
Today I want to tell you about a recent intake who has been through more than any cat should have to face.
He arrived with two broken legs and bite wounds across his body. One limb was so infected it had to be amputated in an emergency procedure. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to cover his initial ER care including X rays, the urgent amputation, IV antibiotics, and stabilization. He is safe now, recovering, and showing a fierce will to live.
There is one more critical step. To save his remaining rear leg, he needs a tibia repair and an FHO, a femoral head ostectomy. This surgery gives him the best chance at a pain free life with mobility and dignity.
When we care for special needs animals, we are saying that every life has value. We are also building a community where care is not conditional, where the hardest cases teach us to show up for each other.
If you are able, please consider a gift today to help fund his surgery and recovery.
Every contribution, large or small, moves him closer to walking and playing again. And if giving is not possible right now, sharing this appeal or sending a note of encouragement truly helps.
What your gift supports
- Tibia repair and FHO to preserve his remaining rear leg
- Pain management, antibiotics, and follow up X rays
- Rehabilitation and foster care while he heals
You can never plan adequately for an intake like this, but leaving him without care was not an option. Thank you for helping us choose compassion, even when it is hard.
With gratitude,
Stacy

P.S. If we raise more than is needed for his surgery and recovery, any additional funds will go directly to help others in need through our Community Love work, keeping pets and people together when life gets difficult.
