BUB Believed in Magic - Let's Make Some in WNC

Dear Friends,

BUB showed us that when we come together to help those facing extraordinary challenges, we create something magical that lifts up our entire community. Today, I'm sharing an opportunity to continue BUB's legacy of turning challenges into triumph, in Western North Carolina, an area that was completely devastated by Hurricane Helene.

Working with our care partner, Binx's Home for Black Cats in Asheville, we've discovered an incredible way to make a lasting difference in how pets receive care in the Western North Carolina Region. It's a story about resilience, community, and the kind of remarkable caregivers that BUB would have been proud to support.

PAWS Mobile Veterinary, led by Dr. Dragon and Heather, and in partnership with Binx's Home for Black Cats, has been bringing compassionate veterinary care directly to pets who need it most. Their mobile practice exemplifies everything BUB stood for – making sure every pet, regardless of their circumstances, receives the love and care they deserve. Their service has been invaluable for:

• Pets with special medical needs that make traditional vet visits challenging
• Elderly and disabled pet parents who face mobility challenges
• Families in remote mountain communities
• Anyone needing accommodating, accessible veterinary care

When Hurricane Helene swept through the region two weeks ago, PAWS lost their mobile clinic to the floodwaters of the Swannanoa River. Yet, in true BUB spirit, Dr. Dragon, Heather, and Binx's family, haven't let this setback stop them from helping others. They're using their personal vehicles to distribute pet supplies and provide what care they can to affected families.

This is where our BUB community comes in. Together with Binx's Home for Black Cats, we're gathering support to raise $50,000 to:

-Purchase a new all-wheel-drive van
-Retrofit it with necessary medical equipment
-Replace lost medications and supplies
-Support their operations until they're back at full strength

BUB taught us that the most magical transformations happen when we come together to support those who make our world a better place. PAWS Mobile Veterinary embodies this spirit perfectly – they've always been there for pets who need extra help or special accommodation, just as so many were there for BUB.

We're already witnessing the power of community in action – we've raised $20,000 so far! Every contribution brings us closer to restoring this vital service that makes quality veterinary care accessible to all.
