Give a Child a Voice Through Joyful Noise AAC in 2026

Imagine not having the words to tell your mom you love her, ask for a snack, or say you're in pain. For many children with autism, cerebral palsy, apraxia, and other conditions that affect speech, that's daily life.

At Joyful Noise AAC, we provide free AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) devices for nonspeaking children, along with the training families and therapists need to make them work. AAC replaces or supports spoken language for kids who need another way to communicate. To keep costs low, we use refurbished iPads configured with an AAC app to meet each child's individual needs.

Many children in Oklahoma struggle to communicate, but cost and access keep them from being heard. Our mission is to remove those barriers so kids can express their needs, thoughts, ideas, and joy.

• $50 pays for an iPad case and a screen protector for a child
