We have served over 5,000 individuals in Maryland, Florida, Texas, Delaware and Pennsylvania. With case management support, 81% of Scholars completed a CNA training program and began careers in nursing. Of the Scholars who became certified, 80% were placed in healthcare careers.
DWD is proud to report that our Scholars beginning healthcare careers in 2024 will earn $80 million in annual earnings.

Empower Future: $500 for Scholar’s Path to Healthcare Career
DWD is an innovative nonprofit that provides Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training, job placement support in skilled nursing and healthcare facilities, need-based wraparound services, and person-centered case management of students. Scholars work with their case managers and service navigators to identify goals and after reaching those goals, Scholars have the opportunity for scholarship assistance to achieve their Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and/or Registered Nurse (RN) license, Medication Aides or continued training in progressive healthcare career specialties including respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, and/or pharmaceuticals.
