Ithaca Murals

Help Shape the Future of Our Community

Ithaca Murals is a community-powered public art initiative transforming gray walls into beautiful, meaningful works of art that tell the stories of the diverse people who live here.

For more than 16 years, we have helped artists, neighbors, schools, nonprofits, businesses, and community groups work together to create over 400 murals across Tompkins County and beyond. Our murals celebrate local culture, honor community histories, inspire hope, spark conversation, and help people feel a deeper sense of belonging in the places they call home.

We believe public art can be a powerful tool for building stronger, more connected communities. Everyone is invited to pick up a paintbrush, share their story, and help shape the places where we live.

Your donation helps provide:

• Artist stipends
• Mentorship and leadership opportunities
• Community paint days
• Supplies for rising artists through our Paint & Tool Library

Together, we're creating opportunities for artists to lead, neighbors to connect, and communities to imagine new possibilities.

What would you like our cityscape to look like?

The future of our community isn't something that happens to us—it's something we create together.

Join us in transforming gray walls into gathering places, supporting artists as community leaders, and helping more people discover their creativity, their voice, and their power to shape the future of our community.
