As of early 2025, there are approximately 6.3 million refugees living in exile. Many of these refugees yearn to return to their homeland. However, the situation remains challenging as a significant number of homes and infrastructure have been destroyed during the conflict. For instance, one estimate suggests that around 328,000 homes have been completely destroyed, with many more severely damaged and uninhabitable.

Human Concern USA is taking a crucial first step to rehabilitate and repair damaged houses. This effort aims to facilitate the return of our people to their homeland, ending their generation-long journey of displacement and misery.
