We understand that, above all, youth require a nurturing, supportive environment that nurtures and provides life-changing opportunities. HeartSmiles was founded in the aftermath of the Freddie Gray riots to provide youth from underserved communities with real opportunities to succeed in life. Too many forgotten neighborhoods are overrun with drug addiction, crime, prostitution, and low life expectations. Not only do we offer hope to young people who want to rise above their circumstances, but we also offer caring mentorship, leadership skill development, internships, and other opportunities.
