Urgent Appeal to Save the People of El Fasher
In the heart of Darfur, the city of El Fasher is facing one of the worst humanitarian crises in its modern history. War and a suffocating siege have turned the lives of more than half a million people into a daily tragedy. The city has been cut off completely from the outside world, and most humanitarian organizations have left, leaving residents to face an uncertain fate alone.
There is no clean drinking water, no food, and no medicine. All hospitals have shut down, health centers have become abandoned buildings, and children, women, and the elderly are battling illness without treatment. Thousands of families have lost their homes, and many are sleeping in the open—under the scorching sun by day and in the freezing cold by night.
Unemployment is total; there is no work and no income. As food supplies have run out, people have been forced to eat livestock feed ("ombaz") and tree leaves—just to survive. Clean water has become an unattainable dream, and many are forced to drink from contaminated sources, risking deadly diseases.
This is not a distant story—it is the daily reality for the people of El Fasher right now, in full view of the world, yet without an adequate response. Each passing day means more lives lost, more children going to sleep hungry, and more mothers watching their children waste away with no way to save them.
We issue this urgent call to every free person, to every compassionate heart, to everyone who believes that life is a right for all. Your donation—no matter how small—can save a child’s life or restore hope to a family that has lost everything.
The people of El Fasher are not asking for the impossible—only for a chance to stay alive. Let us extend our hands before it is too late.
