I have been donating to Give Directly for years. I had the privilege of being on a zoom call with the team there today (July 30th) and see first hand the impact they/we are making. The idea here is that you donate money to this organization and they in turn give DIRECTLY to individuals who are in extreme poverty. I was able to ask questions of a recipient of these donations today and there is joy and success and growth and it is a wonderful thing to see. If you want to learn more about this I encourage you to do so; I won't bore you with statistics but they're all there on the GD website and you can also research Give Directly as a charity and see that they're highly rated. This is an incredibly impactful way to make a direct difference in the lives of folks who need it most. So, with my birthday coming up (August 2nd!), I thought I'd see if I could spread some joy by having any followers of mine join me in donating to this incredible organization.
