Hammerstone School empowers women and gender minorities through craft trades education. 

Since 2013 Hammerstone School has been fostering self-reliance through an introduction to building skills in a space absent of preconceptions about what we may or may not know or may or may not be capable of.

By creating learning environments specifically for women and gender minorities, we offer students a place to explore their capabilities free from judgment or outdated assumptions. Wedu supports women leaders in Asia through mentorship, leadership development, and financial support. 

**Wedu** is a not-for-profit social enterprise on a mission to nurture the next generation of women leaders in Asia. Founded in 2012, Wedu was born out of a desire to address the vast gender leadership gap that persists globally—and is especially stark in Asia, where it is projected to take 189 years to reach full gender parity, compared to the global average of 131 years. Wedu envisions "a world where half of all leaders are women," and works toward this by removing barriers to leadership and enabling women to rise through access to community, capital, and capability.

**Global Mentorship Programme**

This flagship program has supported over 1,500 women leaders (Rising Stars) with guidance from more than 1,700 mentors across the world. These mentorships focus on self-awareness, goal setting, network expansion, and resilience. Since inception, Wedu has facilitated over 90,000 hours of mentorship and more than 2,400 mentorship matches. As of 2024, 76% of participants say they attribute the successes on their leadership journey to the support they received from Wedu​.

**Introduction to Leadership (ITL) Course**

Wedu’s self-paced ITL course strengthens self-awareness, goal clarity, and agency—particularly among women who face structural and cultural barriers to leadership. Informed by over a decade of programming and global research, the course is contextualized for Asian women and integrates self-reflection, identity formation, and leadership development. By 2025, Wedu aims to reach 25,000 women with multilingual and multimodal versions of this course, scaling up to one million women by 2030 in partnership with The Agency Fund​.

**Income Sharing Agreement (ISA) Programme**

Through its innovative Income Sharing Agreement (ISA) model, Wedu enables women to finance their university education and leadership development without upfront costs. This model aligns repayment with income, ensuring financial flexibility and minimizing risk for the individual. As of 2024, Wedu brought this ISA program fully in-house, increasing operational efficiency and sustainability​

**Women’s Leadership Academy (WLA)**

Wedu has been a key partner in regional programs like the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Women’s Leadership Academy. Through mentorship and community-building, this initiative fosters strategic leadership among emerging changemakers across ASEAN.

**IMPACT AND REACH**

Wedu’s programs have demonstrated measurable impact:

- 75% of mentees report an increased sense of self-belief and confidence in expanding their leadership networks.
- Participants have achieved key milestones including career promotions, launching social ventures, and civic engagement.

**ORGANIZATIONAL GROWTH AND FUTURE PLANS**

In 2022, Wedu commissioned Bain & Company to conduct a Geographic Expansion Study, assessing market attractiveness and Wedu’s ability to succeed across prospective countries. Based on this analysis, priority countries for expansion—where both factors ranked high—include India, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand. Cambodia, Myanmar, and Nepal were identified for selective expansion. Wedu is now acting on these recommendations by doubling down on our focus in South and Southeast Asia.

In response to major social, political, and economic shifts across South and Southeast Asia, Wedu has identified three concurrent crises affecting women leaders in the region: the Climate Crisis, the Care Economy, and persistent barriers to Economic Empowerment. To ensure our programmes remain relevant and responsive, our External Strategic Priorities for 2025–2027 are focused on directly addressing these challenges. By 2027, we aim to enable 1,000 women leaders to drive climate-resilient solutions; shift how society and women leaders view unpaid care work, recognizing it as a critical factor in advancing women’s leadership; and enhance the economic empowerment of 1,000 women leaders, particularly those leading Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), through capacity-building, education financing, strategic partnerships, and community support.

Wedu will continue to challenge both structural exclusions and internalized limitations faced by women. By integrating self-reflective leadership learning with long-term community and capital support, Wedu aims not just to close the gender gap—but to redefine leadership itself.

Wedu (Thailand) Foundation

myAgro is an award-winning, nonprofit social enterprise helping smallholder farmers in West Africa move out of poverty.

In West Africa, there are more than 60 million smallholder farmers – many of whom live on less than $2 per day. These farmers face a number of challenges that keep them in a cycle of poverty. First, they lack access to secure places to save money. This means at planting time, they are unable to purchase high-quality seeds, fertilizers, and other farm inputs. Because many smallholders in West Africa are dependent on one rainy season per year, their yields and income are vulnerable to climate change as rains become less predictable and temperatures rise. Lastly, many smallholders lack access to the information and training they need to improve soil fertility and increase their yields.

Since 2012, myAgro has provided farmers with a savings tool, high-quality inputs, and the training and support they need to increase farm productivity. myAgro farmers are equipped to improve their yields and income, ensuring their family’s food security and livelihood. The myAgro model includes:

- Mobile Layaway Technology: Farmers save money little by little to purchase myAgro packages. They make payments using mobile money or scratch cards (similar to buying mobile phone credit).
- High-Quality Farm Inputs: Farmers select from rainy and off-season packages of high-quality seeds and fertilizer, tree seedlings, or poultry – which are delivered within or very near villages.
- Climate-Smart Agricultural Training: Farmers receive in-person agriculture training on microdosing fertilizer, organic composting, intercropping, and more – leading to increased soil fertility and higher yields. 
- Year-Round Call Center Support: myAgro Call Centers provide farmers with real-time mobile support to answer questions, including calls made to every farmer to support them during planting season.

The myAgro model creates a powerful impact. Over the last five years on average, myAgro farmers across Mali and Senegal have grown 130% more food and earned $156 more annually than control farmers. For a farmer making $2/day, this represents a 21% increase in annual income.

Because farmers are able to reinvest this income in their farms for the next season, myAgro’s market-based approach to improved food security creates an impact that is sustainable. And because our model is built on mobile technology, it is scalable and replicable.

Importantly, myAgro provides a pathway for women farmers to overcome gender barriers and increase household income. We design our model, packages, and training with women’s needs at the center. In 2024, 70% of all farmers served were women.

An international women’s fund mobilizing resources for Black women-led organizations in Latin America to address sexual violence.

What is VidaAfrolatina?

VidaAfrolatina is an emerging international women’s fund that mobilizes resources and connects them with Black and Afro-descendant women-led organizations in Latin America that address sexual violence. Selected through a participatory process, these organizations provide culturally relevant healing experiences in their communities and launch initiatives to reduce and, ultimately, eliminate sexual violence. We proudly amplify the vision, wisdom, power and leadership of our grantee partners.

Without investment in Black women’s solutions for their own communities, the structural, intersectional issues that perpetuate sexual violence will continue on largely unabated and ignored. VidaAfrolatina strives to fill a void in resources to strengthen and expand the work of Black and Afro-descendant women’s organizations.

**Vision and Mission**

VidaAfrolatina creates a world where Black women and girls are free to flourish because safety and wellness are their everyday reality. We do this by connecting diverse resources, including philanthropic funding and capacity support, with Black women’s groups in Latin America, with a specific focus on organizations that provide healing services for sexual violence survivors and that create and lead systemic change to end sexual violence.

**Background**

ROC-DC has been building power with restaurant workers since 2009. We are a small worker-led organization that utilizes base-building, organizing and worker-led advocacy to move our mission forward. We have a strong focus on community building and leadership development to strengthen our ability as a restaurant worker community to make the changes we want to see in our industry and in DC. ROC-DC is fully independent organization from ROC-United (circa June 2024).  

**Addressing the Current Moment**

ROC-DC has been specifically equipped to support workers during crises, and have provided systems of support, training and mutual aid during the threats of Trump's first presidency, during the COVID-19 pandemic and currently under the federal occupation of Washington, DC that is putting so many of our members and restaurant workers at risk. ROC-DC has not only been providing necessary mutual aid support to our members, but also building out systems where workers can support one another during this time. We have provided comprehensive resources to restaurant owners/management supported members with creating Emergency Family Plans and provided ongoing community  & healing spaces to share resources and stay in community during such a stressful and isolating time.

Founded in 2010, Dandelion Africa is a non-profit grass-roots organisation located in the Kenyan Rift Valley that seeks to improve the health and economic livelihoods of women and youth in marginalized areas. The organisation's vision is to contribute to opportunities for rural marginalized women, girls and youth to improve their health, economy and education through creating safe spaces for them to receive information and services that will improve their lives and alleviate poverty.  Dandelion Africa's governance structure consists of two boards: an advisory board that provides strategic direction and oversight, and a community board that directly represents the communities for which the organisation works. The community board, that comprise of youth, village elders, heads of schools and those living with HIV and disability, keeps the organisation grounded and responsive to the needs and priorities of the community. The day-to-day operations are managed by a secretariat that is headed by the Founder and Executive Director, Aszed Wendo.  Dandelion Africa's programmes are centered on four main principles, namely human rights, empowerment, knowledge and transparency.  Currently, Dandelion Africa runs four programs outlined below: - Women's Empowerment - Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) - Girls for Leaders, Boys for Change - Right(s) Way Forward, a community-based governance program that aims at empowering communities to access their rights to public resources and services. Jennifer Siebel Newsom founded The Representation Project in 2011 with her groundbreaking film *Miss Representation*, igniting a national conversation about sexism in the media. *The Mask You Live In*, Jennifer’s second documentary, showcased how harmful American masculinity can be for boys and young men. Her latest films-- *Great American Lie* (2019) and *Fair Play* (2022), tackled inequality in the American Dream and in the division of care and domestic work in households, respectively.  

These documentaries on limiting gender narratives have been viewed nearly 30 million times, with our film curricula changing the lives of over 2 million students. Siebel Newsom’s prescience has born true: that storytelling opens hearts and minds like nothing else, shifting attitudes and behaviors. This is culture transformation at its best and creates a more equitable world where everyone can reach their full potential.

**Why Its Urgent**

Gender stereotypes are a public health crisis. Two-thirds of young women have disordered eating. One-in-three girls have seriously considered suicide, up significantly from a decade ago. Boys who hold traditional ideas about masculinity are significantly more likely to bully and harass others, and to suffer from depression and suicidal ideation.

The dangers to our youth link back to harmful messages. For girls, these stereotypes form the root cause of body hatred and shame, eating disorders, depression, low self-esteem and low leadership ambition. For boys, they are the primary driver of depression, dangerous risk-taking activities, substance abuse, suicide and violence. By getting in front of the message, we can change the outcome.

**How We Do It**

- We raise awareness through films— viewed over 30 million times worldwide.
- We educate students through our curricula, which has reached over 2.4 million students.
- We amplify the impact of our film and educational materials through hashtag campaigns (e.g., #AskHerMore, #NotBuyingIt, #EndRape, #RespectHerGame) that have reached 588 million people.

Together, we are bending the long arc of history toward intersectional gender justice. This is a person-by-person and community movement.

The Representation Project

Building a center for community health in Wadi Halfa, Sudan 


Nubia Health is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving maternal and child health in Sudan by launching and delivering community-based health programs. The Nubia Health Center will bring best practice in community health to rural Sudan and undertake the following activities: 1. Proactive search: Working with Muso Health, a pioneering organization building community health programs in Africa, Community Health Workers (CHWs) and community members will be trained to search for patients through door-to-door home visits, to connect them with care early.  2. Doorstep care: CHWs will provide a package of evidence-based life-saving health care services in the home. These include family planning, newborn screening, and treatment for children with malaria, diarrhea, and malnutrition. 3. Rapid-access clinic: The Nubia Health Centre will provide rapid-access, nurse-led clinics to see patients referred by CHWs. 4. Inpatient care: For those patients that require overnight care for interventions such as fluid replacement, intravenous antibiotic therapy, or observation and inpatient unit managed by nurses and doctors will oversee care.  5. Research: The Nubia Health Center will train fellows from across Sudan on building community health programs and develop the center's research capabilities to generate evidence on delivering healthcare in rural settings. Nubia Health aims to build a care model and facility that combines the best practices in community health with cutting edge maternal and pediatric medical care.

What we do
HRAPF has five major goals (outcome areas)

1. Sustained access to justice for marginalised persons and key populations
HRAPF champions equality and non-discrimination for marginalised persons and key populations by promoting and facilitating access to justice. A team of lawyers and a network of paralegals is always on standby to respond to emerging cases in order to redress violations that marginalised persons and key populations continue to face. We engage law enforcement agencies on violations of rights of our constituencies and document all violations and initiate interventions that seek to hold perpetrators of these violations accountable. We support the training and facilitation of community paralegals across the country and all our target constituencies to continue providing legal aid services through their structures.

2. Development of knowledge and jurisprudence for the promotion and protection of human rights of marginalised persons and Key Populations
We continue to be a key leader in the generation of knowledge on various dimensions of human rights of marginalised persons and key populations. Having merged some components of access to justice and research and advocacy, HRAPF is set to build a Centre for Law and Marginalisation to champion research and strategic litigation and provide robust legal solutions to violations of rights of marginalised groups and key populations.

3. Inclusive laws and policies promoting and protecting rights and the well-being of marginalised persons and key populations
We speak out and amplify the voices of marginalised persons and KPs in policy and legal development processes as well as challenge discriminatory practices and systemic and institutionalised marginalisation through advocacy and influencing strategies. We create, nurture, and or strengthen partnerships on the one hand with national bodies that are concerned with human rights. Through these partnerships, we will seek to influence the agenda on non-discrimination and equality at district, national, regional (East African and Continental) and international levels.

4. Transformed knowledge, skills and attitudes of marginalised persons and KPs and duty bearers leading to the promotion, respect and protection of the human rights of marginalised persons and Key populations
We consolidate all empowerment and capacity-building efforts through organising and conducting issue-based human rights training workshops and meetings targeting marginalised persons, key populations ((LGBTI persons; sex workers; women, girls and service providers in conflict with abortion laws; drug users; people living with HIV and; refugees) and duty bearers (police officers, media, judicial officers (specifically magistrates), parents, local leaders and health providers as well as state prosecutors and prison warders) to champion non - discrimination and reduce the marginalisation of key populations.

5. Strong and sustainable human rights organisation
HRAPF continues to strengthen its operational efficiency and financial independence buttressed by effective governance, sustainability, prudent risk management, internal development and a clear staffing structure that suits the organisation for sustainability, transparency, accountability, effectiveness and efficiency in delivering on our mandate.

Major Strategies
HRAPF’s five outcome areas are achieved through the following major strategies:

1)	Legal aid service provision: HRAPF facilitates access to justice in respect of violations of the rights of LGBTI persons and other marginalised persons and key Populations and health service providers through legal representation, mobile legal aid camps, alternative dispute resolution/mediation, community paralegals and documenting violations of the rights of marginalised persons and Key Populations.

2)	Advocacy and influencing: HRAPF challenges laws, policies, regulations, guidelines and practices that curtail and violate the rights of marginalised persons and Key Populations and proposes other possibilities. We also advocate for the integration of human rights in policies, laws, operational guidelines, frameworks and regulations and the application of constitutional values and principles and the rights-based approaches in the implementation of services. We do this through dialogues, public education, coalition building, and engaging with national, regional and international human rights spaces and mechanisms.

3)	Building and Strengthening Capacities: Using legal and human rights frameworks, HRAPF develops human rights awareness, promotion and advocacy capacities of CBO’s, NGOs and networks of marginalised persons and Key Populations groups and NGOs working on human rights issues. HRAPF also develops the capacities of duty bearers (including: political leaders, law and policy makers and implementers, law enforcement officers, judicial officers, local councils, families and communities and health service providers), prison warders on the rights of marginalised persons and Key Populations and their duties in the promotion and safeguarding these rights. We build capacities of rights holders, duty bearers, communities and key stakeholders to enable them pursue greater rights for marginalised persons and Key Populations. We do this through: training, tailor-made technical support, internships and mentorship, and legal awareness outreach sessions.

4)	Knowledge Development: HRAPF invests itself in expanding the pool of knowledge and encouraging debate through regularly undertaking legal analyses, simplifying and translating and disseminating knowledge resources such as: laws, policies and bills; position papers; human rights violations reports; research and baselines.

5)	Strategic Litigation: HRAPF challenges laws, practices and actions that violate the rights of marginalised persons and Key populations through the filing of cases before courts of law and tribunals. These are reinforced through research and documentation of human rights thereby enriching jurisprudence for the rights of a marginalised persons and key populations.

6)	Partnership Development: Nurturing and participating in strategic partnerships at the national, sub-regional, Pan African and global levels for the strengthening of the rights-based approaches and utilisation of legal and human rights mechanisms. This we do through coalitions and alliances, lobby meetings, engaging at regional and international human rights mechanisms and strategic interest litigation at national, EAC sub-regional and Pan-African regional levels.

7)	Programme Support: Building a sustainable organization that operates in an effective, efficient, professional and accountable manner. This we do through: prudent corporate governance; attracting and retaining a competent staff team; robust monitoring, evaluation and learning; resource mobilisation and risk management.

Human Rights Awareness and Promotion Forum

The Rivanna Area Queer Center provides a safe refuge for all LGBTQIA+ people 
in Charlottesville and the surrounding counties.

LGBTQIA+ people need spaces of our own where we can take refuge, build resilient communities, and organize for our collective liberation. RAQC provides a safe and loving home for the queer community in Charlottesville and the surrounding counties. Programming at RAQC addresses multiple areas of need: support groups, peer counseling, and on-site mental health professionals contribute to the emotional wellbeing of our community. Classes and workshops on topics as diverse as screen printing, foraging, and self defense address our physical and creative needs. Social events like mixers, parties, and performances ensure that our region’s vibrant queer culture continues to flourish. In addition to our own programming, RAQC also serves as a safe and accessible space where all local queer organizations and individuals can host their own events.

Justice Nest vision is to Advance a fair, family-centric and accessible justice system in Kenya.

Justice Nest is a newly registered charity (MARCH 2024). The founder is an experienced Kenyan advocate who has worked in the non-profit for over 17 years focusing on child rights, women's right, human rights and access to Justice. While working in the system, she witnessed the effect of the justice system on families and has decided to step in to prevent further family disintegration by the justice system.

Justice Nest is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring access to justice for vulnerable families and individuals in Kenya. We aim to protect and restore families in contact with the justice system, focusing on women, children, and prisoners. Justice Nest is a family-centered, holistic justice non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and restoring families in contact with the justice system.  **Our mission is to transform the justice system and strengthen families by promoting policies and practices that reduce reliance on incarceration.** We provide legal education, holistic representation and advocate for community-based alternatives to prosecution through partnerships. We advocate for restorative and holistic justice, ensuring that vulnerable populations receive the support and resources they need to thrive. We envision a society where the justice system prioritizes the well-being of families, actively interrupting the cycle of family disintegration and preventing the pipeline to prison.

At Justice Nest, we recognize the complexity of the justice system and its role in perpetuating family disintegration and poverty. Our **Mother and Children Restorative justice program** aim to address the root causes that lead women and children into conflict with the law, such as poverty, trauma, and lack of familial support. By working closely with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the judiciary, we advocate for alternatives to prosecution and provide pathways for rehabilitation and reintegration.

Our **Prison paralegal program** seeks to bridge the justice gap.  Access to legal representation is a fundamental right, yet many prisoners in Kenya face significant barriers in obtaining adequate legal assistance. 90% of those in prison do not have access to legal services. To put it in perspective, with a prison population of over 55,000, about 50,000 of those barely have hope that they will leave the system. This problem is multifaceted and involves issues of availability, affordability, and systemic inefficiencies. There is no office of public defenders in Kenya to meet the demand at the state level. A majority of lawyers are based in urban areas, making it difficult for prisoners in rural regions to access legal help. "*The ratio of lawyers to the population in Kenya is alarmingly low, especially in rural areas where legal services are almost non-existent.*" - Law Society of Kenya





Justice Nest

Saath founded in 1989 serves the informal sector through education, livelihood, health, & financial literacy and inclusion.  

Saath is a Public Charitable Trust, founded in 1989, with an aim to support those underserved. Saath in Hindi/Gujarati means ‘together, co-operation, or a collective support. The organization is dedicated to empowering the marginalized communities, by providing livelihood opportunities, access to health care, education, financial literacy and inclusion through varied interventions developed organically in a participatory manner. The goal is to build ownership from within the community to ensure sustainability and impactful transformations, especially for women and children.

**Vision:** Saath envisions inclusive and empowered communities and individuals.

**Mission:** To make human settlements equitable living environments where all residents and vulnerable people have access to health, education, essential infrastructure services and livelihood options, irrespective of their economic and social status.

**Approach:** Saath engages organizations, corporates and individuals from India and globally as partners and supporters. Saath initiated the Integrated Community Development Program, an undertaking that seeks to rejuvenate slums into vibrant neighbourhoods. Saath works with slum residents, children, women, youth, informal sector workers, and vulnerable people in urban and rural areas. It addresses multiple needs of the socio-economically vulnerable with one-stop solutions, through which slum residents have access to basic services for holistic growth.

**Saath’s Thematic areas:**

**Livelihood** - The livelihood programs at Saath focus on making individuals financially independent either by equipping them with vocational training (traditional and non-traditional) or supporting them through entrepreneurial support. Women have been at the core of this initiative. Till date Saath has actively supported **72,809** youth and women for vocational training. Out of which 5200 are successful entrepreneurs. 3,200 women have been trained in non-traditional livelihoods.

**Education** - Saath has supported almost **23,066** children through various educational initiatives.\*\*\*\* The three main strategies tailored to the specific needs of communities are:

**Balghar:** Launched in 2004 as pre-school spaces designed to provide a nurturing educational environment for the holistic development of children. Activities within these spaces concentrate on addressing a child's cognitive, socio-economic, physiological, psychological, and nutritional needs. Serving as demonstration spaces, Balghar complements government-run anganwadis (Pre-schools), catering to the same age group of children. The ultimate goal of the Balghar is to seek admission for the child into a mainstream school, to further her education.  

**Child-Friendly Spaces:** Is a vital initiative aimed at offering a secure environment for child laborers and the offspring of construction workers, addressing their comprehensive developmental requirements. Frequently left unsupervised due to the absence of parental care, these children are at risk of being compelled into child labor. 

**STEM Education:** Is dedicated to enhancing the quality of education in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through specially developed Centres, equipped with hands-on learning material, an essential need for children from marginalized communities, particularly girls, who often lack opportunities to pursue these subjects. The STEM experience also presents to them varied career opportunities which they can now seek out and explore. 

**Health –** Health has been an integral part of Saath’s working since its inception, strongly believing that health has an implication on every aspect of a person’s life. Till date Saath has supported **8,22,040** through various interventions, health awareness programs and referral linkages especially focusing on reproductive and child health, vaccination, immunization, Tuberculosis and malnourishment among the vulnerable communities.

**Livelihood:** The livelihood program focusses on making indiviuals financially independent either by equipping them with vocational training (traditional & non-traditional) or supporting them through entreprenurial support. Women have been at the core of this initiative. Till date Saath has actively supported 76,788 youth and women through vocational training. 8,832 have been supported through Microentrepreneurship (ME) interventions. 

**Integrated Area Development (IAD) -** The goal of IAD is bringing together & empowering communities to address issues affecting the quality of their life. The program includes extensive mapping, identification of problem areas and prioritizing them on the basis of severity and urgency. All done in a participatory manner to build ownership from with the community. Committees are then formed and empowered to take these issues to the local government for redressal. 25000 households have been supported through the IAD and more than 500 problems have been resolved. 

**Financial inclusion –** The program aims to build a habit of saving among the community members, no matter how small the amount be. The intervention started in Rajasthan in 2016 spread to Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat as well. Saath has till date supported over **30,000** beneficiaries through various financial inclusion interventions.

Abortion Freedom Fund supports accessible, affordable, evidence-based abortion pills by mail for all. Our mission is to help pregnant people take control of their healthcare and futures by dismantling medicalized control of abortion and encouraging a world where abortion pills are over the counter.

We simplify access to care for patients by funding virtual abortion providers and clinics, individuals accessing telehealth abortions, and reimbursing local funds for telehealth abortion care, allowing them to focus their resources on people seeking procedural abortions in their communities.

In addition to direct funding, we partner with organizations doing research and other activism to increase access to abortions.

Our core aims are:
-Assisting people who are pregnant to take control of their health care and futures
-Dismantling medicalized control of abortion and encouraging a world where abortion pills are over the counter
-Advocating for the full continuum of abortion care from self managed to clinician supported
-Breaking down the stereotype that abortion pills are dangerous

We provide menstrual products to those experiencing homelessness and low-income disparity. 

No one should have to worry about accessing menstrual products when they are needed.  Helping Women Period provides menstrual products (mostly disposable pads & tampons, but sustainable products when available) to those who need them; we also offer menstrual health workshops, advocacy (let's eliminate period stigma!), and peace of mind.   Since we work with a local janitorial supplier, we can provide one person's menstrual needs for an entire year for only $35.

We emphasize a non-moralistic approach, fostering open discussions about drug experiences while promoting risk reduction practices and safeguarding mental health.

We’ve been on the ground since 2006, offering psycare and integration at Boom Festival, where we also provide drug-checking services, harm reduction materials and information. Programs: 
Kyusa provides comprehensive support to entrepreneurs and businesses through three interlocking programs:

Our programs are centered around three core offerings: Financing, Training & Coaching, and Business Consulting & Research.

Our financing programs are designed to help in-crisis micro and small businesses owned by youth entrepreneurs in low-income communities. We provide access to funding and resources to help these businesses increase their production capacity and achieve sustainable growth.

Our training & coaching program is tailored to the needs of each cohort, with sessions running for 6 to 12 weeks. Cohorts are divided into business and social entrepreneurs, with a hybrid format that includes in-person and virtual sessions. We have also launched an online platform offering self-paced courses to a wider audience.

Business consulting is aimed at growing and medium-sized enterprises, providing personalized business training and coaching in exchange for full consulting fees. This is a part of our earned revenue model, designed to ensure that our services are accessible and impactful.

Program outcomes:
Kyusa's impact has been far-reaching and transformative for the youth and women-led businesses we serve. Over the years, we have provided crucial capacity-building support to over 5,000 young entrepreneurs, who now run a collective 1,800 micro and small enterprises (MSEs), providing vital livelihoods for 3,600 individuals.

Our efforts to foster social entrepreneurship have also yielded remarkable results, with 95 social enterprises established to tackle pressing challenges and serving over 2,500 secondary beneficiaries.

Kyusa's innovative programs and initiatives have created opportunities for growth and expansion. Our business study trips, for instance, have provided exposure and networks that have enabled alumni to engage in cross-border trading, while our micro-grant program has supported 125 vendor businesses to recover from the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic.
