Empathy in Action changes the hearts and minds of all its participants, both inside and outside the system. In learning about each other, we learn about ourselves and broaden our understanding of what it is to be human. YWE is exactly what I hope to see more of in the world! Empowering young women with education and resources to escape poverty and violence. Education and mentorship are really the only ways that is accomplished.

Growing up I had a genuine curiosity for tech and sciences, but felt it could never be a career for me. I think back and wonder if it was because I never saw someone like me in those careers or were exposed to such opportunities when I was younger.
