Fundación Aprender a Quererte partners with schools and teachers to strengthen early literacy and numeracy through evidence-based strategies that improve classroom practice and student outcomes. In 2025, the foundation reached more than 30,000 students across 150 schools and trained over 900 teachers, helping children master foundational reading and math skills at the right stage in their academic journey.

THE CHALLENGE

In Colombia, thousands of children fall behind in reading and math during their early school years, gaps that often become permanent. Without strong foundational skills, students face reduced academic performance, limited economic mobility, and fewer life opportunities. Improving access to school is not enough. Quality instruction, especially in early literacy and numeracy, is essential.
