Support Exceptional Education on the Mendonoma Coast

When we moved to Gualala in late 2020, we didn't know a single person in the area, much less any families with young children. But after some fortuitous beach hangouts and well-timed social media posts, we slowly found ourselves becoming part of a group that started to meet up for informal preschool sessions led by area teachers and parents. In 2023, it culminated in the opening of The Forager School, the only full-time preschool program in Gualala and the surrounding area.

The Forager School has since expanded to include an elementary program that has been absolutely transformational for Oona (Eero is joining her there this school year!). For all our kids, the Forager School has been a source of love, joy, and magic.

The Forager School has been much, much more than a school for us- it's our family and a grounding force in our life here on the coast. We want more than anything to help widen access to this programming and keep tuition within reach of working families in this community. Forager relies on the generosity of our supporters to make this happen via The Forager Fund.
