The Eleanor Kaplan Foundation is a world renowned non-profit organization, founded by the Kaplan family, whose daughter is affected by TECPR2 neurodegenerative disease, to fund the final critical stage of her Gene Therapy cure!  Mutations in the TECPR2 gene cause symptoms eerily similar to ALS affecting the whole body.  While focusing on the discovery and development of a cure for TECPR2, this innovative research has led to potential treatments and breakthroughs for many other pediatric diseases. The Foundation has built a pathway for these children in need by revolutionizing the broken traditional model, through unparalleled collaborations with industry leaders, doctors, scientists, academia, and patient organizations worldwide. This commitment to serious, rare pediatric disease has enabled the Eleanor Kaplan Foundation to make new discoveries and approaches in the field of genetic medicine that aim to enable individuals to live longer, free of debilitating disease.
