DonorsChoose empowers public school teachers from across the country to request much-needed materials for their students.
DonorsChoose.org is the nonprofit classroom funding site for public school teachers. Educators from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and donors can give any amount to the project that inspires them. Since our founding by a history teacher in 2000, over 889,000 teachers have used the site to bring a total of over $1.64 billion in resources to their students.
Mission: We make it easy for anyone to help a teacher in need, moving us closer to a nation where students in every community have the tools and experiences they need for a great education.
Equity Focus: We are committed to combating racial and socioeconomic inequity in school funding. Our team works to inspire as much support as possible for teachers of color and for schools that serve low-income communities and Black, Latino, and Native American students.
