Sewing Machines and Startup Fabrics For Young Female Tailors
Challenge
There are currently more than 100 young trained female tailors in the rural of Greater Paya who are unemployed and, lack the means to acquire sewing machines and startup fabrics to establish tailoring businesses. This situation has kept them and their households in a cycle of poverty as they are unable to acquire basic needs and the support that their households need.
Solution
Development Alert supplies brand new sewing machines and startup fabrics to they young tailors having supported 10 already. Each of the 100 young female tailors will receive a new sewing machine and startup Fabrics. This will enable them have permanent and life-long employment opportunity and source of income. They will have the financial resources to support their households out of poverty and state of need.
Long-Term Impact
The project will lift 100 families out of poverty. It will enable families have access to basic needs, promote grassroots entrepreneurship, economic empowerment and improved households' income. In addition, it will provide training opportunities to other community members who wish to acquire skills in tailoring and tailoring business.
