Summary
Help us build 100 safe, permanent, and dignified houses for 100 elderly persons living in extreme vulnerability in rural Tororo District, Uganda.
These elders — most over 70 years old — include those who never married, are widowed, or have no children or close relatives to care for them. They currently live in collapsing, dusty, heavily leaking structures that are unfit for human habitation and actively dangerous. Age-related limitations mean they can no longer work. With no income, they rely entirely on the goodwill of neighbors and community members just to survive.
This project will change that.
What We Will Do
- Construct 100 decent, permanent houses that provide safety, privacy, and dignity for the rest of their lives
- Launch a community food bank to ensure regular access to nutritious food
- Establish partnerships for medical care and support services
- Provide financial assistance for other essential basic needs
- USD 1000 Provides and elderly person with a decent housing
Use of Funds
**1. $10 Will buy a 50kg bag of Cement
2. $15 Will buy one Iron sheet
**3. $60 Will buy a light weight truck of sand
4. $100 Will buy and supply 1000 Bricks
**5. $200 Will pay builders to put up the house
**6. $500 Will start a food bank program
7. $600 Will cater for his medication program
Every house we build ends a lifetime of insecurity. Each elder will finally have a safe, dry, dignified place to call home in their final years. Combined with reliable food support and medical access, this project delivers comfort, health, and hope to people who have been left behind for too long.
