Crossroads School
Crossroads School is an alternative middle & high school in Longmont, CO, serving students who don't fit in traditional schools.
Just $6 will provide an empowering class for a student at Crossroads School--a class where that student is given individualized work that challenges them but doesn't overwhelm them, and they can work at their own pace. Students are required to achieve mastery, learning one concept thoroughly before moving on to the next concept. They do this in a highly-relational context, with teachers who intentionally strive to connect with, encourage, and support students and classes of 8-10 students at a time.
Crossroads School also emphasizes career exploration and uses elective credits to give students opportunities to learn about their own gifts and interests, research careers, participate in job shadows, complete internships and work study experiences, or take classes that apply to their chosen career path.
All of this works together to result in students who likely would have dropped out, instead graduating. And graduating not just with a diploma, but with a positive plan for what comes next after graduation.
