COMPASS Refugee Centre is a leader in working with people seeking asylum in Canada. Your support ensures that people who are currently in the United States but seeking safety in Canada ***will not walk alone*** or in the dark.

We host the Canada-U.S. Border Rights clinic, a virtual legal clinic that can be accessed from anywhere in the States. It ensures people have ***the right information and are prepared to meet the expectations*** they will face at the border. We work to ensure that no one is turned back if they are legally permitted to enter Canada.

Once across, our experienced staff and volunteers work with people across dozens of towns and cities who have nowhere else to go. We provide support through Canada's protection process, helping people access legal support and translating critical evidence for refugee claims. We also connect people to a variety of service providers for shelter, food, employment, education, and so much more.

Once protected, we assist with the crucial work of being ***reunited with family members*** who had to be left behind on the original flight for safety. Thousands of people have had their lives restored because of the work of COMPASS.

As we look to the future, we see a world with few answers to growing problems. We see people driven from all they have known coming to Canada to be safe, to be well, and to have a chance for their next generation to thrive and not be refugees. Each pillar of our mission is designed for clear and meaningful action in response.
