The first handheld mobile phone that became available to the public weighed just over 4 pounds. It was designed to break the cord that tied communication to a particular place, and make it possible to stay connected no matter where you were. Forty years later, cell phones are a whole lot lighter, and do a whole lot more. They are the means to tell our stories and to be connected to just about everything. It has changed the way we communicate, and the expectations around communication. Everything needs to be done in mind that it will land on someone's phone. And it needs to be heard above the crowd of messages people receive everyday!
