Urgent flood relief needed- Jammu & Kashmir needs your help!

Flash floods triggered by cloudbursts have devastated lives in Kishtwar, Jammu & Kashmir - sweeping away homes, severing connectivity, and forcing children and families into unsafe, makeshift shelters.

While some relief has reached the region, for many, survival itself is at stake. With water sources contaminated and sanitation systems destroyed, families, especially children, are at high risk of cholera, diarrhoea, malaria, and other infections.

How CRY is Making a Difference on the Ground

• CRY’s team is working closely with the District Disaster Management Authority and local partners to respond to urgent needs:
• Facilitating essential hygiene kit distribution containing items like chlorine tablets, soaps, sanitary pads, mosquito nets, and disinfectants
• Connecting expecting mothers and children to health services, immunisations, and safe deliveries
• Restoring damaged health centres to ensure continued care
• Creating safe spaces for children with psychosocial support
