Dear CRY Supporter,
In parts of Nuh, Haryana, the roads are long, uneven, and unforgiving. For girls, they meant more than distance. They meant danger. Doubt. And, too often, the end of education after Class 8.
Every morning once looked the same for many girls across these villages. The sun rising over fields. School bags waiting by the door. And the quiet knowledge that college was simply too far to reach.
Until the girls began to speak.
They spoke to their families. To their communities. To local officials. They spoke of wanting to study. Of wanting to go further. Of not wanting their education to end before their dreams did.
Today, those same roads tell a different story.
A bus now moves through 8 villages each morning, carrying 73 girls safely to college, with a teacher on board. Laughter replaces fear. Books replace hesitation. What was once an impossible distance is now a daily journey.
And the outcomes are visible.
These girls are in college. They are attending regularly. They are helping younger girls prepare for exams. They are talking about careers, independence, and futures their villages have never seen before.
This National Girl Child Day, we celebrate 73 girls who turned long roads into pathways. Girls who raised their voices, claimed their right to education, and are now travelling steadily toward the lives they choose.
With your support, many more girls can take that journey.
With gratitude,
Team CRY
