The Golan has been targeted in a significant offensive for the past few months.

Killer-drones, cruise missiles, and dozens of rockets have become our weekly routine. Wildfires are threatening pastureland, farms, and homes. This is an unprecedented situation for us.

We will stand our ground – and we need you with us!

The Golan Heights has faced significant challenges during the current war, enduring over 2,000 attacks by rockets and killer drones, resulting in 18 killed. This unprecedented situation has disrupted daily life, closing schools, igniting wildfires, and damaging agricultural lands and homes. 


Despite these hardships, the Golan community has stood its ground, refusing to evacuate and opening their homes to 3,000 evacuees, including families of hostages. 


This resilience highlights the crucial role the Golan plays in securing Israel's northern frontier.

**Community Resilience:** The war has put a tremendous strain on families, with parents in the IDF facing constant stress and spouses managing households alone while dealing with frequent sirens, explosions, and school closures. The emotional toll on the children
is substantial, with increased anxiety and a need for mental health support, and it is our focus to secure their well-being. Your support can help the Golan region realize its full potential. Please consider donating to one of the following: 

*Providing essential mental health support:* 

Together with the University of Haifa and experienced therapists, we have developed two programs: 1) for Parents & Toddlers and 2) for younger school children whose parents were deployed for extended periods: 

- Parent & Toddler Therapy = $16,500 for a year 
- Reservist Children Treatment = $20,000 for a year 

*Preparing for the future: Bomb shelters for kindergarten, youth centers and senior center:* 

- Build & Placement - $120,000/shelter, 9 shelters needed 
- Bomb Shelter Refurbishment: $4000 each, 23 shelters

- **Life-Saving Shelters:** Providing reinforced protection for the 40% of Golan households currently without safe rooms.
- **Emergency Medical Gear:** Equipping our volunteer first-responders with essential BLS kits and oxygen cylinders.
- **Community Resilience:** Vital emotional support and youth programming to keep our families strong and grounded during the war.

Standing With the Golan: Resilience on the Front Line

Following an intensive period of conflict in the north, we now face another critical challenge: supporting our mobilized reservists and their families who continue to demonstrate remarkable dedication to Israel's security.

The Golan Regional Council has established support teams in each of our 33 communities. These teams provide essential services, including **recognition events, household assistance**, and **handyman services**.

We are seeking immediate contributions for the following critical initiatives:

- **Support for Community Teams** to organize in-community cooking, play centers, and volunteer efforts for 32 communities and 550 reservists' families. We would greatly appreciate support of **$15-$30 per family**.
- **Pizza and movie Night** for all families: $9,000.
- **Subsidized Shabbat Meal Program**: $1,500 per weekend.
- **August 2025 Reservists' Family Event**: $5,000
- **Respite and Recognition Event for Reservists' Wives** (early September): $2,000

 The Golan Regional Council will match a dollar for every donated dollar.

These initiatives will provide vital support and strengthen our community's resilience.
