When you support CEC, you're giving someone in crisis a lifeline. You're helping a struggling parent find strength. You're giving a child the tools to heal from trauma. You're making professional mental health care accessible to neighbors who have nowhere else to turn.
The need is real. Anyone who has tried to find a therapist knows how hard it can be - therapists with no openings, insurance that won't cover it, costs that are impossibly high. For low-income families in Mesa County, these barriers can feel insurmountable.
CEC breaks down those barriers. We provide professional, trauma-informed counseling to adults, teens, children, and families - regardless of income or insurance. No eligibility requirements. No session caps. Just compassionate, high-quality care in comfortable spaces that rival any private practice. Our 14 highly trained therapists work with clients of all ages - from 3 to 85 - addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship struggles, and life transitions. Most of our clients are low-income, with 61% using Medicaid and others paying as little as $15 per session.
We're also building the future. Through our workforce development program, we train the next generation of therapists, expanding Mesa County's mental health workforce so more people can access the care they need.
And we're growing to serve more. In early 2025, we're opening a second location in Orchard Mesa, bringing mental health care directly to an underserved community of over 7,000 residents.
YOUR DONATION HELPS MORE PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY ACCESS PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING THAT THEY CAN AFFORD.

"You were there for me when nobody else was."
"I was determined to take control of my life after years of drinking due to sexual abuse. I had no money, no job and lived with friends. CEC took me in, accepted me, and worked with me for 2 years. During that time, I gained more confidence, found a job and graduated with a degree. I have CEC to thank for helping me become a better person."
"I can't thank you enough for everything you've done for me and my family, we could not have done it without your services."
"The most compassionate and professional care I've ever received from counselors and staff."
