The cow is one of the most important and respected animals in the world, especially in India. From ancient times to the modern era, the cow has played a vital role in agriculture, economy, health, and culture. The project is to promote scientific rehabilitation and will motivate the community people (both rural and urban) to save the cows for sustainable Agriculture, Health & Nutrition and environment. It save cows from various diseases by vaccinating them and will improving public awareness on cow care management.
Cow has special importance in Indian culture. Cow is the basic foundation of Sanatan Dharma. 33 crore gods and goddesses reside in cows. There are no festivals in Hindu religion without cow. Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Mother Lakshmi, Ganga and Godavari also originated from cow. That is why it is called mother. Cow urine, cow dung, milk, curd, ghee etc. all provide coolness to our body and mind. Vedas, Upanishads and Puranas have described the divine qualities of mother cow.
There are religious beliefs in Hindu religion regarding cow. Cow is considered revered. Along with religious beliefs, if seen from the point of view of science, many such properties have been found in cow's milk and dung which help us in fighting many diseases, but the real religious meaning of the revered cow in Hindu religion is probably Only anyone knows correctly or has correct information. Today we will know what is the true meaning of cow in Hindu religion.Cows are considered to be a sacred animal in the Hindu religion. The ardent followers of religion worship this animal like a Goddess. A cow has been honored with the status of a mother in Hinduism. This is why people refer to it as ‘Gau Mata’ which translates to Mother Cow.
•Symbol of Divinity & Nature: Cows represent the earth and are considered a maternal figure that offers unconditional, life-sustaining, and nonviolent generosity.
•Religious Significance: They are revered as a divine, sacred animal that is believed to represent the last stage of a soul's evolution before human life.
• Deity Associations: The cow is closely tied to Lord Krishna (a cowherd) and is considered a manifestation of various gods and goddesses. The divine, wish-granting cow Kamadhenu is believed to have emerged from the ocean churn.
Economic & Cultural Value: Historically, cows were a measure of wealth and an integral part of agricultural life, providing milk, ghee, and fertilizer (cow dung).
Ritual Use: Cow-derived products—urine, dung, milk, curd, and ghee—are used in religious ceremonies for purification
Cows have a lot of benefits to mankind. They help us give milk. Through milk, we get a lot of products like butter, cheese, curd and more. In addition, people also use cows for their cow dung and cow leather. Cow dung comes in handy as a rich fertilizer. Plus, cow leather gives us soles, belts, car seats and more. Cow dung is believed to possess purifying properties that cleanse the environment and the soul. Using cow dung made prayer essentials is believed to purify the atmosphere, making it conducive to spiritual practices and fostering positive energy
The welfare of an animal relates primarily to its ability to cope, both with its external environment such as housing, handling by humans, weather and the presence of other animals, and with its internal environment
Challenge
Animals and people have co-existed for thousands of years, with animals playing a vital role in natural ecosystems and communities across the globe. Despite the strong relationship people have with animals, many cows suffer from various zoonotic diseases and other sickness within our project location. Free roaming animals are often inhumanely treated in misguided attempts to eliminate different zoonotic diseases such as anthrax,brucellosis, tuberculosis etc.
Solution
This project will improve cows' welfare of un-owned, abandon and free roaming cows living in human dominated areas in urban as well as rural setting. We will provide medical care and comfort to suffering cows through veterinary interventions services for illness, diseases, and injuries. It is supportive to each and every people life in terms of improving public health, and promote maximum utilization of cow resources for the holistic development.
Long-Term Impact
The cow has been called the mother for a reason. Everything it produces is for the benefit for the mankind and creation at large. The all-giving cows give mankind nourishment. Conservation of homeless innocent and abandon Indian cows is important for Sustainable health; sustainable/eco agriculture and sustainable environmental development This program will treat, and rehabilitate the vulnerable stray cows with all the medical needs and will motivate people to save cows.
