Educate Girls works towards enrolling the rural, marginalized girls back in school, ensuring quality education & transforming the community mindset towards girls' education. **Challenge**

In India, girls don't show up to classrooms due to gender-related barriers. This problem is grievous in the villages,where merely 40% girls reach grade 6. Girls in these remote & tribal villages belong to extremely socio-economically marginalized communities where their education is considered futile. They face constant threats of child marriage, early childbirth, poor maternal health, trafficking, malnutrition & abuse brought on by patriarchy,inter-generational poverty & systemic apathy.

 **Solution**

Focused on high incidence villages, we work to increase the enrolment & retention of marginalized girls in grades 1-10. Our staff & community volunteers go door-to-door to identify every out-of-school girls in the area & convince parents to enroll girls, mobilize the community through meetings & support school management efforts. To ensure retention, we keep a track of the girls. We keep going back until every girl is enrolled & learning well.

 **Long-Term Impact**

Educating girls is the single best investment a nation can make. Research shows that educating girls decreases child & maternal mortality, birth rates & violence against women, while massively improving family health & national income. It ensures she educates her own children, makes more informed decisions for herself & her family & enhances her chances of finding decent work. Hence opening doors to achieving many sustainable development goals

**Promotion Objectives:-**

To make the people conscious on their need, present economic policy and to capacitate them in the process of development intervention.To mobilize delist, the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe to access their rights to decent living. To facilitate the women to have decanal access to resources, democratic structure Along with the men at all levels of the society to ensure gender justice and eternality. To enhance and upgrade the skill of the people specially the marginalized, davits Men and women to generate income and achieve sustainable livelihood without Disturbing the bio-diversity and environment.to develop system for community health emphasizing on unconventional health practices, health education, women and child health, rural sanitation and hygiene. to energy size youth power for changing present socio economic scenario of the society through various socio-cultural and economic interventions.

**BARNAMALA EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL SOCIETY** has been in the target area from many years. It is now felt that community health program to be continued through local community- based organizations. This will facilitate in strengthening community participation and higher level of acceptance of basic health care services. Continuation of community health care is the primary step towards sustainability of community health.

Community level interventions like awareness generation camps in schools & communities, mobile eye check-up, ANC/PNC, blood donation camps, income generation activities, distribution of MCR shoes and spectacles, operation of decentralized medical clinics, yoga practices for keeping body fit etc. will help to identify the new cases, abolish social stigma, eradicate leprosy, reduction of prevalence rate etc. sustain the outcomes of the project as well as ensured the community participation in the development field. Satisfying the services delivered to the beneficiaries, the community people and local self -government will take over the responsibilities. Locally available need based basic health care facilities will improve the health status of the rural community, minimize the travel cost, distance, and physical strain and man days.

Women have always been marginalized and relegated to the status of subjugated class in the Indian society. Due to lack of specific implementation of plans, local communities especially women have remained outside the scope and benefits of government schemes and programmes.

**Research / training material and equipment**

As this is a Health project through training &Awareness Camps & provides free medical checkup facilities, the project indeed, is in need of some material and equipment, which the Organization had to raise through the available funds. The Camps material and equipment’s which are absolutely in need of listed as under:-

On approval of the project, a detailed estimate based on quotation will be submitted for approval.

**OBJECTIVES**

 Raise awareness on the various aspects of preventive healthcare measures;

 Educate the villagers on information to identify and prevent common diseases;

 We are working for mental illness counselling and mental awareness to the cmmunity.

We also provide speech therapy, physiotherapy, occupationaly therapy, special education to disabled children like cerebral palsy, autism, mentally retardation down syndrome children.

 Raise awareness on the nutritional needs of young children;

 Build capacity and develop skills within the community health workers to handle local health issues effectively; and

Promote overall good health of the local community.
