Giving Tuesday Fundraiser for b-present

When we received the news that Kirsten was diagnosed with cancer and was being treated at Stanford, we needed to temporarily relocate from San Diego to be by her side in Palo Alto. Our dog Leo was an important part of our family (Kirsten was the reason we had our sweet Leo), but we immediately had to face the stressful and difficult decision of whether or not to bring a dog when we knew we would not be able to give her the attention she needed. No sooner did the thought enter our mind than my amazing brother and sister-in-law (Matt and Becky), reached out and offered to take Leo in - for as long as needed. They already had 3 dogs, but generously opened their door for one more so that we could focus our attention on Kirsten. They even came down to pick up Leo so that it was one less thing we had to worry about. It couldn't have been easy having a house with four dogs, but they made Leo feel like part of their family, and we never had to worry one minute about her quality of life. The kindness and generosity Matt and Becky showed in that moment, and for every moment thereafter, will never be forgotten. They were so generous with their love and gave Kirsten the greatest gift of all - peace of mind so she could focus on her health. She loved and appreciated Matt and Becky so much for helping in such an important and impactful way. We dedicate this Gratitude-sday fundraiser in memory of Matt and in honor of Becky. We love you both forever and always. ❤️
