Athens Avalon Greenspace Tiled Steps Repair

In July 2026, the tiled steps were damaged when a coffee table was thrown down the steps. Approximately 16 steps were damaged. We are looking into repairing the steps using the original Tile company from 2017.

The Athens Avalon Greenspace is an icon in the Excelsior neighborhood, featured in walking tours and news outlets. Its 100 colorful steps are the setting for thousands of beautiful photographs around the neighborhood. The Greenspace is managed and maintained by local volunteers and neighbors. We meet once a month on the first Sunday from 10am-12pm to keep the Greenspace beautiful.

Athens Avalon Greenspace is a project of Contina Impact, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to Contina Impact, restricted for the exclusive support of the Athens Avalon Greenspace project.
