Behind the Curtain Backfill
- Raised
- $5,600
- Goal
- $4,100
Greetings, fellow nonprofit administrator!
Please join me in this limited, behind-the scenes fundraiser for ATA, featuring opportunities to donate to three very deep admin expenses that never enter the top 100 reasons to give... despite their instrumentality, as you well understand.
What do we need to cover for 2023?
the general liability premium ($2,245). It's modest, and we're in good hands with broker CalNonprofits Insurance Services who totally get a Mission-based, storefront microcinema that hosts four arts organizations and a multitude of artists and their collectives.
the directors & officers liability premium ($940). Making sure ATA, the radical arts collective that makes all decisions via consensus, has back end protections is key, not just from the point of view of ordinary reality, but in support of extraordinary reality of suppporting artists and marginalized as the designers of ATA's place in community.
the quickbooks subscription ($915). I started volunteer treasurering at ATA 10 years ago, and I have never been able to convince Intuit to give this license to us for free, no matter how many techsoup end runs I've orchestrated. Want to work with me to make that happen? Send a note and that glass of red wine (or six, I've estimated based on actual data) is on me.
For years and years (and years) I've relied on your glad gifts of wisdom, expertise, whip smarts, short cuts, bitter laughter, and empathy. I owe you priceless, and today I'm asking for $4,100 in cash, stat.
Doing the math (no surprise) tells me how 10, 20, or 100 of us can meet this fundraising goal, so thank you for throwing down any amount and sharing with your Behind the Curtain community.
