ATA Window - Help Support Artists!
Help support local artists!
You know ATA Window Gallery even if you don't *know* ATA Window Gallery. Ever walked down Valencia and been stopped in your tracks by an arresting artwork or cultural commentary on 21st? Been confronted with a performance behind four panes of glass? Confused by the fact that the storefront windows are not supporting the project of rampant consumerism but instead presenting free and accessible art to any and all passersby?
ATA Window Gallery has been a mainstay for emerging and established artists in the Bay Area. And, since 2019, ATA Window Gallery has paid artists $500 stipends for showing work in the window gallery.
The stipends allow artists to buy materials, continue to explore and experiment, and most of all to survive and thrive.
Funding was initially supported by a generous grant from the Andy Warhol Foundation, but since those funds have run out we've been supporting artists out of our own pocket. Let's continue to pay artists in the Bay Area.
Upcoming in December is our annual series of installed performance, Almost Public/Semi Exposed, now in it's 8th year. Your donation will go directly to artists performing in this series and artists for the months to come. See more at https://almostpublic.space/
