Asian Women for Health

Asian Women for Health (AWFH) is a Boston-based nonprofit dedicated to advancing health and improving the well-being of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) and other underserved communities. Through culturally and linguistically responsive health education, workforce development, and community-engaged research, AWFH addresses systemic barriers to care, including language access, cultural stigma, and gaps in prevention and early detection. The organization trains and places Community Health Workers from the communities they serve, strengthening pathways to care and economic mobility. Grounded in lived experience, AWFH centers community voices in program design and research to ensure solutions are relevant, trusted, and sustainable. By building partnerships across healthcare, public health, and community organizations, AWFH empowers individuals and families to navigate systems, improve health outcomes, and thrive.
