He represented his country in the World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, standing tall against football giants like Morocco, Tunisia, and Angola. In 2004, he gave us a moment of glory by scoring a decisive goal against Guinea in a World Cup qualifier.

He played with honor for top clubs like Young Africans SC (Yanga SC) in Tanzania and Coastal Union, earning the respect of fans and teammates alike. Namiti was more than just a footballer – he was a symbol of resilience, commitment, and national pride.

But today, Namiti is living in quiet desperation.

Now 47 years old, Edwin is a father struggling to make ends meet in poverty. Forgotten by the very system he once gave everything to, he is left to raise his children with no stable income, no pension, and no medical support. The fame has faded, but the responsibilities remain. The boots are hung, but the burdens weigh heavier than ever.

He does not ask for much—just a chance to rebuild, to live with dignity, and to provide for his family.
