Help the Against Malaria Foundation #stoptinyvampires
Help us stop tiny vampires from infecting people with malaria!
Preventing malaria is one of the most cost-effective global health interventions we know of. Malaria kills 630,000 people a year (mostly kids), and infects more than 200 million others. Distributing bed nets is the most effective way we know of to fight this, and that's what the Against Malaria Foundation (AMF) does.
GiveWell, an efficacy-focused charity evaluator estimates that a life is saved for every $4,500 donated at AMF. The cost to purchase, distribute, and follow up on each bed net is $4.95, so the $4,500 is based on studies of efficacy of bed nets, not based on an assumption that every bed net saves a life.
Note: Please leave the “share info” checkbox on the donation page ticked. It allows AMF to send an email to see where your specific nets will be distributed. You will not be added to any mailing list unless you explicitly check the second box labeled "Also subscribe to their mailing list" in which case you will receive quarterly update emails from AMF. AMF never sends soliciting emails.
