Welcoming immigrants is a moral necessity. Out of the Mattress is going a step further, doing the hard work of integrating Americans into the social fabric and ensuring they receive all the benefits of the society we've built.  

**Every $400 we raise sponsors an immigrant family’s financial transformation.**

Like so many immigrants, our student started in a service job, building her life in New York City over 12 years. But despite steady income, she still found herself living paycheck-to-paycheck. The problem wasn’t her work ethic. It was access to information. With no mentors, she never learned what accounts to open, how to plan for retirement, or even which banks welcomed immigrants. 

After opening a high-yield savings account and a Roth IRA, she told us, “This is the first time in my life that I feel really calm about money. **It feels amazing to have two months of rent saved up.**”

Out of the Mattress helps immigrants achieve financial stability through practical, accessible financial coaching. This year alone, we’ve helped 30 families open their first high-yield savings and brokerage accounts and start breaking the cycle of living paycheck-to-paycheck.

Now, we need partners who see the bigger picture: investing in immigrant financial education strengthens the entire U.S. economy.

We’re seeking $30,000 to provide financial coaching to 75 immigrant families. Every $400 sponsorship helps one household eliminate predatory fees, build credit, and start investing—creating ripple effects that strengthen entire communities.

Help 75 Immigrants Achieve Financial Stability

Giving immigrants the knowledge to navigate U.S. financial systems and build lasting wealth.

Most financial education fails immigrants because it doesn’t reflect their day-to-day reality. Our practical, accessible personal finance course helps immigrants break the cycle of living paycheck-to-paycheck and plan their financial futures.

**Vision:** We’re building a country where all of us, immigrants included, have the financial skills to plan for the future, fulfill our dreams, and achieve lasting peace of mind.

**Impact:** Our pilot program has already helped immigrants ranging from 25 to 60 years old build the foundational skills to manage their money. 100% of students have opened a brokerage or a high-yield savings account by the time they finish the course. In addition, students are learning to budget their fixed and variable expenses, plan for retirement, and build their credit in the U.S.
