I gave because I love helping animals, and Lil Bub and her family are awesome sentinal beings.

Today we're helping raise funds for little Chicken and cats just like him, who deserve their best chance at life. 

A trusted rescue we work with came upon little Chicken in a trailer park. He didn't have an owner and it was immediately apparent he had a few injuries.

Chicken was quickly taken for veterinary care where the compassionate staff welcomed him, treated his injuries and confirmed that his leg was indeed fractured. 

Little Chicken's story is one of many; he is a tiny, resilient kitten who has refused to let a broken leg dampen his spirit.

Every day, Chicken is gaining more confidence, and we know he'll eventually find his stride. Our rescue partner is showering him with love and affection and making sure he receives the care he needs. Equally important, Chicken is learning to trust the humans caring for him. 

Thanks to quick intervention, Little Chicken's injuries are healing and soon he'll be able to run, jump, and explore the world. 

Chicken's story symbolizes why we care for special needs pets and I hope his story brings you a little inspiration as well. He's a reminder that even in the face of adversity, with love and support, special needs pets can overcome obstacles and find their way to a brighter future. Chicken's success is a testament to the power of compassion, resilience, and the indomitable spirit that resides within us all.

Lil BUB’s Big Fund exists to advocate for special needs companion animals and build a community that celebrates and fosters the human-animal bond. With a focus on animals that are the most difficult to adopt, the most expensive to care for, and are at a high risk of euthanasia. 

Lil BUB’s Big Fund provides access to care for special needs pets nationwide. We work with community leaders, shelters, and rescues nationwide to create special needs focused frameworks. We visit schools to promote kindness and inclusion. Through our work, we share BUB’s message of overcoming adversity and the knowledge that the things that make us different are worthy of being seen and appreciated.
