On behalf of Rani and Peter Wilder. "Keep up the good work!"

In the summer of 2021, as the world began to reopen, something magical happened in our small coastal town of Gualala. With every new family we met, we would say, “We’re starting a preschool!” What began as a tiny pandemic playgroup in our home grew into The Forager School, a vital part of our community.

Today, Forager includes a thriving preschool, a growing elementary school, and summer programs that welcomed 67 children this year. As our school grows, so does the need for tuition assistance, particularly for families waiting to receive county-funded preschool subsidies.

Please join our friends and family in supporting The Forager School’s 2026 Gala. Every gift helps keep this extraordinary learning community accessible, joyful, and growing!

The Forager School is a preschool and elementary school serving families on California’s rural Mendonoma Coast.

The Forager School is a preschool and elementary school serving families along California’s rural Mendonoma Coast. Our programs are rooted in nature, curiosity, and strong academic foundations, offering preschool, elementary, and seasonal learning experiences.

Your support helps sustain preschool and elementary education at a time when access to subsidized childcare is increasingly limited for rural families. It keeps tuition accessible for local families, expands financial aid for those with demonstrated need, and supports the educators who help our students grow with confidence and curiosity.
