Help Supply Medications to a Village Clinic in Haiti

Raised
$1,135
Goal
$9,000

You can make a difference by donating today to Aid to Infrastructure! We serve the small mountaintop village of Piton, Haiti, where we have a small medical clinic that provides basic health care to the students and community. Unfortunately, the violence and chaos in the country have made the nearest hospitals unsafe and unable to provide care. Even if they were functional, villagers are afraid to travel there.

Because of this, our clinic is more important than ever. In previous years we needed a supply restock every few months. Now it's every month. Villagers from all over the mountain are coming to our clinic for care. We're raising $9,000 to fund our clinic for 6 months. This money will purchase basic medications for wound care and ongoing care.

Piton village has become a refuge for families fleeing the violence in Port-au-Prince. As of the writing of this fundraiser, we have newly-arrived families with sick children and we need medications to treat them. When I say the need is urgent, it really is. We're a very small organization and the need has outgrown our capacity. Any help you give will make a direct impact on people's lives in Haiti!

These are kind, hardworking, rural families who have done nothing to contribute to the chaos currently plaguing the country. Thanks so much for your help!
