WPHF - Emergency Fundraiser for Women in Haiti
In recent weeks, the people of Haiti have faced a rapidly deteriorating humanitarian crisis, compounded by soaring inflation, increased insecurity and political instability. The total number of people facing acute food insecurity now stands at 4.5 million (45% of the population) and 1.3 million people are in need of urgent assistance, as the country is still recovering from the devastating impact of the 2010 earthquake and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Haiti’s women and girls are the most impacted by the crisis, yet their voices are often excluded from participating in local decision-making and humanitarian action. It is essential that Haitian women – and the local organizations they lead – are supported as they respond to the urgent needs of their communities.
That is why the United Nations Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) is working to rapidly mobilize new financing for local women’s organizations responding to the needs on the front lines of Haiti’s escalating humanitarian crisis.
Now more than ever, women leaders on the front lines in Haiti are counting on our support. Donate today and join WPHF to fund women's vital work to prevent conflict, respond to crises, and accelerate peace in Haiti and around the world.
