We are musicians from Odesa, Ukraine, raising money at our concerts to support our country, our city, and our people.

KMLX is the Philanthropic Arm of the musical group [Kommuna Lux](https://kommunalux.com/).  When war came to their country in 2022, these musicians soon realized they could do more good with their instruments than with guns.  They began raising funds at their concerts in Europe, for charitable projects back home. They decided to tour the United States in 2023, and were so successful that they founded this 501-c3 nonprofit for their future tours.  We all welcome you to come to a concert--[check our website](https://kommunalux.com/events/) to see if we'll be in your town!

With two US tours planned in 2024, the band felt like they could strive for something greater than the small, local projects they had always supported in the past.  They soon found a willing partner in the [Rotary E-Club of Ukraine](https://my.rotary.org/en/club/8c29156a-2419-4c85-b117-be3ac63779f4/details), who had numerous projects in need of funds.  The musicians decided to help supply a new type of hospital bed for victims of severe burns, to hospitals serving the front lines.

For every dollar donated to KMLX, 30% will go directly to this project. The Rotarians have identified at least 100 other requests for these beds.  We hope to help every hospital in Ukraine!

The other 70% of your donation will continue to support our regular grassroots causes, such as food, water, and medicine to besieged cities, bomb shelters and other safety projects in our hometown of Odesa, and our direct support of the heroes at the front with gear, tools, and vehicles.

Our latest business initiative in Kenya is Beehives. We have started two apiaries with 25 hives each in two separate villages. The beehives are a long term investment that we expect to pay big dividends in self reliance for these communities. A purchase of 25 Beehives is about a $4000 investment. The home for Meleon and her children has been completed and on March 27, 2021 her home was blessed by the local minister. Meleon is very grateful for this blessing of a new home made possible for her and her children through your generous donations. Thank You!


Gabriel, Caroline and Emmanuel, 3 of our students live with their widowed mother, Meleon, in this mud hut that has reached the point of collapse. Funding of $500 has been provided. We need to raise an additional $500-$1000 to build a new home with solar lighting and a water tank to store rain water off the roof. This will provide a clean, dry and safe environment with adequate lighting to do studies. It gets dark at 6:00 pm in Kenya year round.  The water tank will eliminate long treks to fetch water for cooking and drinking.

*Clean, safe, dry and adequate living accommodations are essential for families to thrive. We provide solar power for homes where electricity is not available. Students achieve better results in school when basic home lighting is available in the evening hours so they can study and read.

HOPE USA is a Volunteer-Based 501(c)(3) Organization Working to End Poverty in Pakistan by Empowering Women and Children.  

About HOPE USA:

HOPE Charities USA is a volunteer-based nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization working to better the socioeconomic forefront of impoverished citizens in Pakistan.  Estimates of poverty in Pakistan range anywhere from 25 percent to almost 40 percent.  Health indicators suggest that it is the lack of accessible healthcare — not terrorism, drones or the energy crisis — that is the greatest adversity facing Pakistan.  Additionally, in a country where 60 percent of youth are illiterate and only 1 in 3 women can read and write, education becomes a scarce commodity which inhibits freedom from poverty.  HOPE USA’s mission is to end poverty in Pakistan through a calculated, multi-pronged interventional approach which focuses on Healthcare, Education, Vocational Training, Clean Water, and Disaster Relief.

Currently, HOPE has a countrywide presence throughout Pakistan which includes 4 Hospitals, 3 Formal Schools, 200 Informal Schools, 7 Vocational Centers, 1 Basic Health Clinic, 2 Mobile Health units, and 6 Maternal and Child Health Clinics.  Altogether we have grown to a network of hospitals and schools that treats over 750,000 patients per year, educates 11,000 students annually, and provides income-generating skills to over 2,000 young adults yearly; 70 percent of our beneficiaries are women and children.

All of HOPE USA’s health, education, and vocational training facilities provide free/nominal cost services to the impoverished. Additionally, HOPE has been on the frontlines of every emergency relief effort that has impacted Pakistan, from the 2005 Kashmir earthquake to the current 2022 catastrophic flooding crisis.  Our emergency relief efforts have generated aid to over 100,000 victims of natural disasters over the years and we have established 130 hand pumps in remote and rural areas to provide clean water to 130,000 people total.

As a nonprofit organization, HOPE USA has an outstanding record of performance. With almost 15 years of experience, we are currently at the stage where we are a small organization with tremendous impact potential.  Major corporations/governments have vetted us and trust our work.  Some recent grantors include Procter & Gamble, Paypal, Target Corporation, US Aid, Unicef, and the Centers for Disease Control. Additionally, HOPE USA has received corporate matches from Cisco, Microsoft, Salesforce, Oracle, Facebook, Linked In, Adobe, Paypal, Mastercard, and Dreyers. 

We are a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) boasting some of the lowest overhead rates one will see in the nonprofit realm (less than 3 percent). In 2021 we were awarded a medal by Pakistan President Arif Alvi for our poverty alleviation model in Pakistan – we were 1 of just 2 organizations to receive this honor. We are also the only authorized distributor of Procter & Gamble PuR water sachets in Pakistan which become critical during times of natural disasters such as the 2022 Pakistan Flood Crisis.

HOPE USA's Story:

Health Oriented Preventive Education (HOPE) was the inspiration of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla, a pediatrician by profession who helped eradicate polio from Pakistan in the early stages of her career.  In 1997, while working in Karachi’s government-sponsored hospital for the needy, Civil Hospital (where she currently still practices), Dr. Mubina thought of a vision for the betterment of the citizens of her country.  She and a small band of volunteers joined forces to establish HOPE as a nonprofit governmental organization in Pakistan.  

Due to Dr. Mubina's medical background, HOPE's initial objective was to provide the poor with better access to medical centers and hospitals.  In a country grappling with basic issues such as lack of access to clean drinking water, poor maternal and infant health, malnutrition in children, prevention and treatment of diseases such as malaria, cholera, and tuberculosis, it already seemed as though HOPE had enough of a challenge on its hands.  

But soon Dr. Mubina realized that the cornerstone of a productive and forward-thinking community relies on both a healthy body and healthy mind.  She honed her vision to an integrative approach that was twofold: health and education.  Today, HOPE has evolved to an organization that prioritizes the health and education opportunities of underserved women and children in Pakistan.  HOPE aims to empower females with education and health so that they become self-sufficient and productive members of society. 

As a single woman in a male-dominated country, Dr. Mubina faced many challenges and setbacks; it was through perseverance and hard work that HOPE grew from a dream to a reality.  Today, HOPE has a countrywide presence throughout Pakistan which includes hospitals, formal schools, informal schools, vocational centers, basic health clinics, mobile health clinics, and maternal health clinics, all which provide free or minimal-cost healthcare and education.  Additionally, HOPE has been active in disaster relief efforts throughout Pakistan. 

In the course of 25 years, HOPE has emerged as a viable solution in bettering the socioeconomic forefront of the people of Pakistan, particularly women and children.

Empower women, girls and youth in Kenya! 

Founded in 2010, Dandelion Africa is a non-profit grass-roots organisation located in the Kenyan Rift Valley that seeks to improve the health and economic livelihoods of women and youth in marginalized areas. The organisation's vision is to contribute to opportunities for rural marginalized women, girls and youth to improve their health, economy and education through creating safe spaces for them to receive information and services that will improve their lives and alleviate poverty.  Dandelion Africa's governance structure consists of two boards: an advisory board that provides strategic direction and oversight, and a community board that directly represents the communities for which the organisation works. The community board, that comprise of youth, village elders, heads of schools and those living with HIV and disability, keeps the organisation grounded and responsive to the needs and priorities of the community. The day-to-day operations are managed by a secretariat that is headed by the Founder and Executive Director, Aszed Wendo.  Dandelion Africa's programmes are centered on four main principles, namely human rights, empowerment, knowledge and transparency.  Currently, Dandelion Africa runs four programs outlined below: - Women's Empowerment - Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) - Girls for Leaders, Boys for Change - Right(s) Way Forward, a community-based governance program that aims at empowering communities to access their rights to public resources and services.  Dandelion Africa works through a community approach. We are currently working on the Girls for leaders, Boys for Change program, Women Empowerment program, Water Management, Health program, and Rights Way Forward Model.

Krista's Legacy Foundation (KLF) extends the late Krista Roth’s impact (4/22/99 - 1/20/21) by advancing the causes about which she was most passionate - Rainforest Restoration, Clean Water and Education. As the result of a childhood dream, Krista's Rainforest Sanctuary project started in the Monteverde Cloud Forest of Costa Rica with funds raised on what would have been Krista's 22nd birthday on Earth Day (April 22) 2021. In honor of her desire to help solve the world's water crisis, KLF works in partnership with Can Do Kids International in Kenya. KLF also sponsors projects supporting the education of underprivileged kids with potential to make the world a better place.

Making fishing dreams come true for individuals with life impacting challenges, metorship programs, and disaster relief efforts.  

On April 6, 2012, the fishing community lost a great angler, icon, and friend, Jose Wejebe, host of the immensely popular saltwater fishing television show, Spanish Fly. Through his show and his adventures, Jose shared his passion for fishing and a lifestyle that touched and inspired anglers around the world. At the same time, Jose encouraged conservation, leading his viewers by example to take better care of the environment they so enjoy.

Jose Wejebe never forgot his humble beginnings or those others that helped him find success. Throughout his life and career, Jose unselfishly donated his time, money and equipment to support countless charities including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Marc House, Wounded Warriors, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and many others. The charitable work seen on his television series, “Spanish Fly”, documented only a small portion of his generosity. Behind the scenes, he quietly assisted with many more charities throughout the world. He did so out of compassion and kindness, and was humbled by those who expressed their appreciation.

In order to continue Jose’s passion for the marine environment, and dedication to support those who face life-impacting challenges, The Jose Wejebe Memorial Foundation was founded in April 2012. The Foundation will honor Jose’s legacy by continuing his charitable efforts.

The Foundation has worked with multiple organizations to refer individuals that can benefit from leaving reality at the dock, and live in the moment on the water. These include Make a Wish, the Outdoor Dream Foundation, the VA Hospital of Miami, and Wesley House as well as others.

Making fishing dreams come true has been our main focus to be bring some relief to those with life impacting challenges, circumstances over the past few years have led us to broaden our reach to meet other needs. We have assisted fishing communities after major hurricanes and supported local aid organizations during the height of the pandemic. We are also building our Legacy Mentorship Program.

We do not take plastic out of the water; instead, we want to put an end to the increasing amount of plastic polluting the ocean by tackling the issue at its sources. Think of microplastics in cosmetics or synthetic fibres from clothing. These all end up in the ocean one way or another. We have been working towards this goal since 2011. According to the international press, we are now  'One of the leading advocacy groups to tackle plastic pollution.'  Vision 
 With a devoted Amsterdam-based team we work with a firm approach: Be aware:  The Plastic Soup Foundation constantly draws attention to plastic soup through campaigns, news articles and social media. Get educated:  Anyone who wants to find out more about plastic soup is in the right place when they come to us. The Plastic Soup Foundation has developed educational programs for primary and secondary schools since 2016, and in 2018 we launched a new digital education program for primary schools. In addition we work together with experts, politicians, organizations, universities and companies which have similar missions or visions. Find solutions:  The Plastic Soup Foundation stimulates all possible (innovative) solutions which help tackle the causes of plastic soup at source. Measures which prevent plastic entering the environment, water and possibly ending up in the sea have the greatest impact in our opinion. This includes reducing the amount of single-use consumer plastics, the development of a plastic footprint for companies as well as smart devices which collect plastic in waterways. Global sustainability goals and plastic soup In September 2015, the United Nations determined the  2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development . This agenda comprises the seventeen well-known  Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). All Member States have an effort obligation to adjust their policies so that these goals will indeed be achieved in 2030. Many organizations and companies have now also embraced the agenda and use the sustainability goals as a guide for their actions. None of the seventeen SDGs specifically has plastic soup as its main subject. Meanwhile, the effects of the plastic soup are clearer and clearer and the problem is increasingly prominent on the international agenda. In July 2017, the United Nations met on the implementation of SDG 14, ("Preserve and make sustainable use of oceans, seas and marine resources"), and the world adopted a  resolution : "Our Ocean, our future: call for action". All countries agreed to intensify their efforts to prevent pollution of the oceans, among others by aiming to reduce plastics and microplastics. Omigbefite is a non-profit community education and economic development society founded in 2005 in Loropeni, Burkina Faso currently seeking funds for drilled well construction to improve community access to clean water. Initially organized in 2005 as a community charity working to feed and educate orphan children, Omigbefite has expanded it's scope over the years to become a more general non-profit social and economic development society with education projects on Ebola and the toxicity of cyanide and mercury and projects in animal husbandry, gardening, mango cultivation and most recently the construction of wells and water distribution systems.  Omigbefite means: to help a brother in despair in the language of the Lopi people.  The organization plans to focus its efforts in the next few years on the construction of drilled wells and water systems in a region that receives adequate rainfall in the rainy season but suffers very limited access to clean water in the dry season. Hydrilla has invaded the beautiful Rainbow river.

Hydrilla is destroying the habitat where the otters live.

Hydrilla is here because of us, it is a plant from south east Asia that was brought in to be used in small aquarium tanks years ago. Hydrilla escaped and is now invading our lakes, springs, and rivers.

Hydrilla grows so fast that it crowds out and suffocates all the other native plants.

Hydrilla is very invasive and wants to dominate the entire ecosystems in our lakes rivers and springs we cant let it win.

The Beautiful Rainbow river was invaded by hydrilla years ago. Hydrilla can grow up to 2 inches a day in the summer months. Otters, people and other aquatic animals can not swim thru the big massive dense mats of Hydrilla.

Every year there is more Hydrilla and less native eelgrass. We want native eelgrass, it is good, growing on the bottom it create a great home for not only otters, but everything else.

The Hydrilla becomes so dense that it slows down the water. Less current means better environment for toxic Lyngbya algae to grow. We are seeing Lyngbya in parts to the river already.

Every year Hydrilla becomes so bad that the State has no choice but to spray the Hydrilla with herbicide, or it will choke the river to death with in a years time. The state has been spraying Hydrilla for at least the last 30 years on a regular basis.

After the Hydrilla is treated with the herbicide Endothol it starts to die back slowly over the next 30 to 60 days. It sheds its leaves slowly creating silt that sinks to the bottom. As the hydrilla dies it covers the bottom helping suffocate any eel grass struggling to survive.

The next generation of Hydrilla will emerge after about 6 months and feed on all this left over silt, muck, and debris growing again. It is a viscous cycle, and after 30 years, the rivers needs a good cleaning.

As a good farmer will first prepare their field before planting, so must we prepare the bottom of the river before planting. We need to remove the Hydrilla, vacuum up the silt and muck so we can see the natural bottom again, and then we can replant eel grass.

If given a fair chance, the eel grass will once again become the dominate SAV on the bottom of the river. When eel grass gets it roots down deep into the natural bottom it will grow and prosper, crowding out the Hydrilla by shading it from sunlight with its thick blades of grass.

This has been proven to work by the results of the Kings Bay Restoration project in Crystal River. This will bring back the stories of yesteryear, crystal clear water with fields of eel grasses blowing in the currents and a river full of happy people and otters.

This is the beginning of a 5 year project to clean up and restore the Rainbow river and with a vow to maintain it once it is restored again so herbicide use is no longer needed.

Please help us, we have a proven plan and just need money to hire an experienced contractor to vacuum up all the silt and muck and plant eel grass.

Since 1996, Amazon Watch has defended the Amazon rainforest and our climate in solidarity with Indigenous peoples. The Amazon is home to more than 500 distinct Indigenous peoples. As our planet’s largest tropical rainforest, it stabilizes our global climate and an immense amount of Earth’s biodiversity and flowing freshwater can be found there.

This vital ecosystem and the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded it for centuries face grave threats from deforestation, resource extraction, land grabs, and destructive development projects. The Amazon is facing a tipping point and won't be able to sustain itself as a rainforest if we remain on our current path of destruction.

To move to a turning point, Amazon Watch is advancing the Indigenous-led proposal to permanently protect 80% of the Amazon by securing Indigenous rights to their ancestral territories, challenging the major drivers of rainforest destruction, and mobilizing solidarity funds directly to Indigenous Earth Defenders throughout the Amazon Basin. We support marginalised indigenous Karen communities living in Thailand, through projects in water, livelihoods, and education.

Indigenous Karen communities have been marginalised from Thailand’s development gains. Average daily income is just per 50 cents per person, and the enrolment of Karen children in primary education is 51%, compared to the national average at 89%. Rural communities rely on subsistence agriculture, with most families suffering from food shortages at least five times a month.

One of the few NGOs working in the area, since 1986 KHT have been working to improve the lives of Karen communities in a holistic and sustainable manner. We provide:
- water systems and latrines to give clean water;
- work with farmers to install irrigation systems to boost farming income and cut hunger rates; and 
- run access to education projects to ensure Karen children can realise their potential. 

The projects are run in a complimentary and coordinated way to ensure immediate (health), medium (incomes), and long term (education) assistance is provided. 

We're proud of our impact to date. With our donors' support we have:
- installed 212 clean water systems and 3,150 latrines for 55,643 Karen people;
- installed irrigation systems to support subsistence agriculture in 94 communities, boosting income for 18,901 households;
- provided safe access to education for 17,693 children and young adults, through school transport, school meals, and higher-education scholarships.

KHT are deeply embedded into the local community, with the majority of staff Thai Karen and based in the area. A small organisation, a meaningful donation can help hundreds or even thousands in an impactful way, in a part of the world where they’re too often forgotten.

The mission of Carbon Offsets To Alleviate Poverty (COTAP) is to empower individuals and organizations in developed countries to address both climate change and global poverty. COTAP counteracts your carbon emissions through certified forestry projects in least-developed regions which create transparent, accountable, and life-changing earnings for rural farming communities where income levels are less than $2 per day.

The Problem

In developing regions around the world, hundreds of millions of people live in rural areas on less than $2 per day. This level of poverty forces communities to make hard choices between food, health care, and education. It is the poverty level where an estimated 11 million children die every year. Many of these communities are not fits for traditional microfinance, which tends to be primarily urban, and significant portions of their land are not suitable for agriculture.

While there are many promising technical innovations and development programs which can increase crop yields, there remains a geographic limitation on markets where such increased yields can be sold.

The result is that there are farming communities all over the world who could be made much less economically vulnerable if there were a way to generate significant supplemental income from non-crop land usage which did not rely on physical distribution.

The proven potential of small-scale forestry carbon projects

Small-scale afforestation, reforestation, and agro-forestry programs have a proven track record of reaching such communities and for creating direct, significant, verifiable and lasting economic benefits for them. One of the most compelling ways to finance such activities is through the sale of carbon credits.

Such projects have faced a combination of serious challenges in selling their carbon credits. Many would-be customers and/or project investors dispassionately view carbon credits as a single-dimension environmental commodity, of which they are only able to technically value and pay for the environmental component. Relative to other project types, carbon credits from community-focused tree planting projects credits are issued in smaller quantities, they are issued more slowly, and they entail a variety of unique risks, albeit highly manageable ones.

Further, carbon projects entail significant startup, certification, and ongoing management costs. In order to cover their costs and maximize returns, project investors rationally prefer larger projects and shy away from geographically-fragmented, small-scale ones where return/profit potential opportunities do not pool in large amounts in any one place. This, in turn, means that more carbon market volume is transacted under carbon standards which favor large projects, and that in turn puts more momentum behind the market acceptance of such standards, tilting the playing field away from quality, community-focused standards like Plan Vivo.

The small-scale forestry carbon financing gap

The above set of factors has created a financing gap for community-focused forestry carbon projects, whereby project organizers are able often able to obtain a fair per-tonne price, at an early stage, and at volume – but rarely, if ever, are they able to attain all of these factors at the same time.  If this problem were solved, then the proven and multifaceted solution of small-scale forestry could rapidly expand, thereby lifting the poorest out of poverty, mitigating climate change, enhancing food security, and restoring landscapes at a much larger scale.

COTAP is founded on the belief that this financing gap, though understandable, is an unacceptable market failure – and a humanitarian injustice – given forestry carbon projects’ proven ability to reach and empower the world’s most vulnerable populations.  Who does COTAP believe can fill this gap? Individuals and organizations in developed countries.  Virtually all individuals in developed countries have unavoidable carbon footprints, and most are highly concerned about global warming, global poverty, or both.

The need for a crowdfunding intermediary

Every year, small-scale forestry projects plant trees which will result in the projected sequestration and long-term storage of tens of thousands of tonnes of CO2; however, the average annual individual CO2 footprint is relatively very small in comparison, CO2 footprints vary among individuals, and individuals have different preferences and budgets pertaining to how much of their footprint they wish to address.

COTAP is the critical intermediary which fills the gap between individuals and these poverty-alleviating projects by pooling together offset donations from many individuals and organizations and then working with projects to ensure that commensurate quantities of the offset they’ve generated will be retired, which means they cannot be re-sold.

The net effect is that, through COTAP, you’re indirectly employing the poorest people in the world to plant and maintain trees which counteract the emissions which you have not yet been able to eliminate.  This empowers you to fight both climate change and poverty with one tax-deductible donation, and it empowers our participating farmers by connecting them with funding that’s at an early stage in the planting cycle, at a fair price, and at significant volume.

COTAP’s Solution

COTAP makes individuals in developed countries, primarily the U.S., aware of the poverty-alleviating power of forestry carbon projects, and COTAP makes forestry carbon credits accessible to individuals in small amounts and as a tax-deductible donation.

COTAP sources carbon offset funds from those who care about both climate change and poverty alleviation, pools those funds, and transparently matches those funds with our partners’ forestry projects in order to fill the forestry carbon finance gap, restore landscapes, and create direct, significant, verifiable, and lasting benefits for the most economically vulnerable people in the world.

All of COTAP’s current portfolio projects are registered under the Edinburgh, Scotland-based Plan Vivo carbon accounting standard. COTAP is thus “vintage agnostic,” so as to pursue all of our projects’ funding opportunities and thereby fulfill our mission to the fullest possible extent. The Moz Library Project operates the first and only public library in a small village in Africa.

Learning how to read and write can change lives. In Mozambique, 47% of the population over 15 years old are unable to read and write. Literacy equips individuals with the ability to access information and engage in critical thinking. Furthermore, literate individuals are more likely to secure better job opportunities, leading to improved economic prospects and poverty reduction. Education also enhances public health awareness, enabling individuals to make health-informed decisions.

Courtney Johnson was a Peace Corps volunteer from 2015-2017 and worked as a teacher in Ile, Mozambique. Illiteracy was a known problem but there was an acute lack of resources that prevented the existing institutions from tackling this issue. Some of her students who knew the material verbally, turned in tests with only strings of letters and consonants. In 2015, Courtney began to work with the local government to develop a program that would work alongside the existing education system providing supplemental literacy education to close this achievement gap.

The Library is run by local staff providing employment opportunities to 3 full time and 10 part time staff members.

The 4 Pillars
1) SAFE & HYGENIC SPACE: The Moz Library was built from scratch from 2015 to 2017. The library has to electricity providing the ability to study safely after dark. The library has access to clean water and hygienic indoor & outdoor bathrooms. 
2) PUBLIC RESOURCES: Free and Public access to resources including books, pencils, paper, electricity, and computers.  
3) FREE EDUCATION: The Moz Library offers Free and Public lessons in literacy, English and Math using a simple, replicable, and interactive literacy curriculum that serves a diversity of learning styles and individualized attention. 
4) HEALTH: The Library leverages opportunities to disseminate public health information through classes, murals, and public theater.

The library is in Mozambique, a country which sits on the southeast coastline of Africa sharing a boarder with South Africa to the south and Tanzania to the north. Ile is a medium-small town with a population of approximately 15,000 people. Ile has 5 elementary schools, 1 high school, a soccer field, a hospital, several stores, and an open-air market. The coordinates of the library are 16"02"15"S and 37"10"35"E.

ARAHA strives to alleviate human suffering and build self-reliant communities by providing aid in the Horn of Africa

ARAHA is a humanitarian non-governmental organization (NGO) that works in the Horn of Africa region delivering essentials and developing opportunities. 
We have 8 core programs; disaster relief and emergency response to famine and drought, education, including scholarships and vocational training programs, sustainable energy, food relief, including school lunch programs and container shipments of manna rice packs, self-reliance programs built for sustainability, boreholes to bring essential water to remote communities, health programs to combat disease and bring medical care to refugee and IDP camps, and our orphan program that supports children that have lost their caregivers. 
Our diverse range of programs bring to life our mission and our field team in each country adapts to the specific needs of each community in which it works. 
Our organization aims to bring immediate relief to those in need throughout the Horn, while at the same time seeking to create the conditions for sustainable opportunity and self-reliance. In all programs ARAHA pursues, it seeks to responsibly enact its mission and build a stable, sustainable, thriving Horn of Africa. 

In the last year, ARAHA has served over 100,000 beneficiaries. We built 71 water wells in communities so thousands of people have access to fresh water. Our individual donors sponsor 356 orphans and our organization covers 1300, for a total of 1,646 vulnerable children that are being cared for. We run a school lunch program for 8 schools with over 1,500 students total. We also maintain the Shagarab refugee camp high school, the only school in the camp, where we provide salaries for teachers and scholarships for students. We distributed meat to 14,600 people in need last year. We are currently combating drought and famine in the Horn by providing monthly food baskets to families. We have already supplied these baskets to over 800 families. We have run several successful vocational training programs, specifically for solar energy and veterinary technology. This training provides opportunities for many students who could not afford education. We also built sustainable homes for 11 families in Sudan.

We passionately believe that empowering people with the resources and opportunities they need to change their circumstances is the best way to impact individuals and communities. Because of this, we created 4 strategic initiatives which target the most critical areas of community development in Haiti

Spiritual Development: We are leveraging the network of ten churches we have started over the last twenty years.  Through this network we are providing training and resources for pastors and churches all across Haiti, to encourage and strengthen their community impact.

Economic Development: We come alongside farmers, families, entrepreneurs, and small business owners to build the economy and infrastructure necessary to see Haiti become a fully self-sustainable country and a global economic participant.  Through this network we invest in projects and training that create jobs, provide sustainable income, and promote dignity.  We are currently invested in multiple agriculture development projects, focused on increasing both the quantity and quality of food produced. We also launched a Women’s Entrepreneurship Program called Espwa Vivan that is providing training and entrepreneurial coaching for vulnerable women in Haiti.

Educational Development: We support an existing network of four schools serving nearly 2000 children in four underserved communities of Haiti.  Through this network we are providing access to quality education, training and empowering teachers, and investing in vocational learning opportunities.  Our schools are growing and we are currently expanding and building to meet the ever growing need to for quality education in Haiti.

Physical Development: We collaborate with several US-based partners to meet some of the most basic and immediate needs of the Haitian people.  Through this network of partners, we care for the orphan, empower families, invest in clean water, nutrition, and medical care.  Currently, we operate two children’s homes, a human trafficking rescue home for children, mobile medical clinics, and a school feeding program. In 2022, we also launched a water well drilling program, providing clean water access to communities in Haiti.
