Help keep our community choir on its feet! #GivingTuesday

ABOUT THE CHOIR

WHCC is a no-audition community choir, one of a handful in NYC and the only one serving Upper Manhattan. We're a lively, diverse, and welcoming group that loves to sing and believes in the power of music to spread joy and build community.

REBUILDING OUR FOUNDATION
Established in 2016 by a local church, we were disbanded in May 2022 due to budget challenges. We were devastated yet determined to stay together. A resilient bunch, we quickly regrouped and are now reestablishing ourselves as a sustainable, standalone nonprofit.

My goal is to raise at least $500 which will cover the cost of Harmony Helper (an app to help learn those more difficult harmonies for those who are newer to choral singing), and the cost of a pianist for 3 rehearsals.

Washington Heights Community Choir is a project of Players Philanthropy Fund a Maryland charitable trust recognized by IRS as a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (Federal Tax ID: 27-6601178). Contributions to Washington Heights Community Choir qualify as tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
