The Tokyo University of the Arts (Geidai) started Geidai NY Project in 2025 to promote cultural exchange and advance art and business innovation, while we became an anchor member of NEW INC, the cultural incubator of the New Museum, New York's leading contemporary art center. With NEW INC, Geidai aims to strengthen Japan's cultural presence in the U.S., supports the global careers of Japanese artists, and fosters cross-cultural collaboration with New York's creative industries.

Thanks to the generosity of Mizuho Bank, Geidai has presented the Geidai Art Festival for five years, creating opportunities for emerging artists to share their artworks. In 2026, we are taking an exciting next step by bringing the Geidai Art Festival to New York, which is one of the projects of the Geidai NY Project.
