Emergency Fund: Meeting Urgent Needs For Survival

This winter, Native communities across the country are facing sudden and devastating cuts to federal support for basic survival needs. Heating assistance has been withdrawn, leaving families in homes with little insulation to endure subzero temperatures. Food programs have been reduced, deepening the struggle to keep children and elders nourished.
These challenges are not isolated—they are widespread, affecting many communities already living in some of the harshest conditions in the United States. The loss of support for essentials like heat and food turns daily life into a matter of survival.
In response, we are establishing an Emergency Fund to provide immediate relief. Contributions will go directly to meeting urgent needs: keeping homes warm, ensuring families have food, and filling the gaps left by federal cuts. Each gift, whether large or small, becomes part of a collective act of compassion, helping restore dignity and safety through the winter months.
We invite you to share this call with your friends and family. Together, we can stand in solidarity with Native communities, offering not only warmth and nourishment, but also the assurance that they are not alone.
