HIV is humanity’s 5th most deadly disease, and while it is preventable and manageable, there is no cure.

When Trump dismantled US Aid in 2025, half of the world’s HIV population lost access to HIV treatment and prevention resources. Soon after, Canada and Europe followed.

This prompted Bill Gates in October 2025 to declare that global health, specifically HIV, tuberculosis and malaria, and not climate change, posed an existential threat to humanity. We see this happening now in the worst outbreak of Ebola.

As humanity’s 5th deadliest disease, there is no cure for HIV and yet the world has turned its back on critical funds needed to control this disease.

HIV has the highest rates of infection in the communities society marginalizes the most- Black, Indigenous, Queer, Women and other Racialized communities.

The world may have turned its back, but we cannot. The funds you donate support the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation which provides critical medical and support services to people living with HIV- including those leaving the US.

Please donate to support not only the health and well-being of people living with HIV, but of the whole world- for when we take care of people living with HIV, we take care of everyone!
