The Sterling Volunteer Fire Company operates out of three fire stations: Sterling Park, Cascades, and Kincora. From these stations, we respond with three fire engines, a ladder truck, and a command unit. We also have a brush unit, a tanker, a safety officer, and reserve apparatus available. All of these vehicles are funded with donations from the community. We spend countless hours training to maintain certifications in fire fighting, emergency medical services, and technical rescue. We are also constantly upgrading our skills and equipment to keep up with the latest technology and practices in the fire service. All of this training and equipment is brought to bear on more than 3,000 calls for help each year and this number is rising steadily. Calls range from resetting fire alarms to car accidents to large-scale fires.
