Our mission: Strengthen families by restoring fathers.
Erika Kirk in her first speech after Charlie’s assassination said, “Charlie and I would talk about him running for office. Charlie said, “If he ever did, renewing the American family would be his top priority.” Like Charlie, Lightbearer Films intends to restore the American family with the emphasis on fathers.
We are seeking financial partners, ministry champions, and film investors to join us in funding and distributing these films, reaching fathers across America with a message of hope, redemption, and responsibility.

The Crisis of Fatherlessness in America
• 1 in 4 children live without a father in the home
• 4x more likely to live in poverty
• 2x more likely to drop out of high school
• 5x more likely to suffer emotional and behavioral problems
• 85% of youth in prison are from fatherless homes
• 90% of homeless and runaway children are from fatherless homes
• 63% of youth suicides come from fatherless homes
Fatherlessness is not just a social issue; it is a spiritual issue. Ben Fights for Dad exists to call men back to their God-given role as fathers, protectors, and spiritual leaders.
What will Somebody Cares Tampa Bay do to move families forward?
Through their program, Lightbearer Films, they will produce a series of films and will:
- Create quality content that will impact men to be better dads.
- Bring awareness to organizations that have resources to further the mission.
- Create resources that compliment the films we create.
a. Our first film being renamed, Ben Fights for Dad, with dad content already created.
b. Materials are already developed and designed to help families and fathers lead the home Biblically.
- Our second film will be a sequel to Ben Fights for Dad and will have post movie materials that are yet to be created. Materials will focus on forgiveness, healing, and prayer.
- Contact men’s ministries, churches, and organizations with similar missions to make aware and get involved with the series of films to move families forward. Somebody Cares Tampa Bay has had a strong relationship with The Promise Keepers, TPUSA, Citizens Defending Freedom, Rise (formerly Blexit), and more in reaching communities.
