Common Threads is a national nonprofit that provides children and families cooking and nutrition education to encourage healthy habits that contribute to wellness. We equip under-resourced communities with information to make affordable, nutritious and appealing food choices wherever they live, work, learn, and play. We know that food is rooted in culture and tradition so we promote diversity in our lessons and recipes, encouraging our participants to celebrate the world around them.

Miracle Foundation is an international nonprofit that helps orphans and foster children find a safe, stable, and permanent family. Whether in an orphanage or in the Foster Care System, our vision is a family for every child in our lifetime.

For the past 23 years, Miracle Foundation has been dedicated to improving the lives of children. In 2022 alone, we supported more than 170,000 children—and this is just the beginning.  Today, we are a world leader in ending the need for orphanages and ensuring children grow up in safe, stable families.  To achieve this, we are actively uniting children with families, partnering with frontline workers, preventing children from entering the system whenever possible, and stabilizing placements for children until they find a forever family. 

Founded in 2000, Miracle Foundation has consistently received the highest ratings from Charity Navigator and other watchdog organizations that assess charities' effectiveness and financial transparency.

The Lake Travis Education Foundation exists to provide funding in support of the education of our children, teachers and schools.

Who is LTEF?
Founded by a group of Lake Travis residents in 1985, the Lake Travis Education Foundation has provided over $4 million in funding to help make programs and projects at Lake Travis Independent School District possible. Today, the need for help is greater than ever. Our school district is growing at unprecedented rates, and the state legislature continues to move tax dollars from LTISD to other districts in the state.

LTEF is committed to making a difference and bridging the gap by reaching out to community members and business partners to find the donations necessary to help keep LTISD the exceptional experience it already is. Take a look at our current board and staff.

Our Foundation - 
Our Lake Travis community has been distinguished by its devotion to excellence in education. Countless families have moved into the community to benefit from the schools that are among the finest in the nation. Accomplished alumni provide ongoing affirmation of the quality of education received in the Lake Travis ISD schools through their own personal achievements and their contributions to the greater society. All Lake Travis District residents and alumni of the Lake Travis schools take pride in our historic tradition where excellence is more than a goal, it is our incredible standard of achievement.

Our Challenge - 
Current school funding issues offer a challenge to our tradition of excellence. An ever increasing percentage of our property tax dollars formerly designated for our schools, now leave the community to be re-distributed to other school districts across the state. This creates a significant challenge to our goals for excellence for every student, every teacher, every school through the expenditure of tax dollars alone. Without adequate funding the standard of excellence is in jeopardy. It is increasingly clear that the only way to preserve our educational standards for future generations is through private funding that comes from within our supportive communities of friends and family.

Our Solution - 
The Lake Travis Education Foundation exists to provide private funding in support of the education of our children, teachers and schools. Established in 1985, the Foundation is a tax exempt 501 (c) (3) organization raising private funds that cannot be diverted through state recapture legislation. This private funding has proven to be significant in preserving and enriching the quality of education within LTISD through supplemental support for teacher, facilities, equipment, and programs vital to our children. We are fortunate to be a part of a caring community that understands the importance of the schools in defining the spirit of the community, maintaining property values, and creating a common bond among our neighbors.

Our Opportunities - 
The Lake Travis Education Foundation is committed to creating opportunities for substantial investment which will assure the long-term excellence of the LTISD schools. Working together school families, residents, alumni and friends can generate the resources necessary to sustain and enhance the tradition of educational excellence. LTEF giving programs, along with other traditional programs, offers far-reaching solutions to achieve our ultimate goal of preserving the heritage of excellence of the Lake Travis ISD schools.

The Lake Travis Education Foundation (LTEF) is a nonprofit organization that supports the Lake Travis ISD mission to educate all students through a comprehensive curriculum. LTEF funds programs that directly impact student needs but are not covered by public tax revenues.

Safe In Austin Rescue Ranch is a sanctuary that rescues animals from severe abuse or neglect.

Our animals provide healing and hope to trauma, at-risk, and/or special needs people, these are the animals who triumph and inspire world-wide.

Safe in Austin's story began with a Great Pyrenees appropriately named, "Angel". 

Our family had always loved animals, but it wasn't until a discounted service dog Angel joined our family, that we would see just how magically an animal could transform lives.

Safe in Austin provides a loving home to animals who suffer from abuse or neglect because animals deserve to experience unconditional love.

Knowbility's mission is to create an inclusive digital world for people with disabilities. 

Knowbility leads the way to digital equity with and for disabled people. Since 1999, we have advocated for born-accessible technology. Our Community Programs and Accessibility Services teams teach, train, and promote inclusive and accessible design across all sectors and industry. We help make the Internet and other technologies accessible to people who are blind, visually impaired, deaf or hard of hearing, have limited mobility, and have cognitive or learning disabilities. Our goal is to create a barrier-free world of information technology so that people with disabilities can fully participate in the business, educational, and cultural marketplace and reach their full potential. Through education, awareness, and advocacy, we work to ensure equal access to technology for the over one billion disabled people around the world.
