Washington’s National Park Fund is the official philanthropic partner to Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks

We raise private support to preserve and protect Washington’s cherished national parks: Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic. With your help, we fund youth and family experiences, scientific research, and projects that will keep our parks strong and vital now and forever, for everyone.

Here's how it works: Each year, the three park superintendents and their staff identify critical projects in need of support. With our community, WNPF raises the funds to make these projects a reality. Together, we sustain between 30 and 40 projects and programs each year that would otherwise go unfunded.

But we can't do it without your help.

Headquartered in Seattle, it brings together a growing global network of scholars, scientists, and policy experts. 

The Institute investigates the life-changing possibilities of a universe brimming with information and intelligent design. It has a special interest in exploring how science and technology can advance free markets, propel new discoveries, illuminate public policy, and support human dignity and the metaphysical foundations of a free society.

The Institute sponsors research in the sciences, humanities, and public policy. It organizes conferences, seminars, and educational programs for both young people and adults. It produces and disseminates books, articles, reports, and a wide array of multimedia content designed to inform the public.

PHILOSOPHY

Mind, not matter, is the source and crown of creation, the wellspring of human achievement. Conceived by the ancient Hebrews, Greeks and Christians, and elaborated in the American Founding, Western culture has encouraged creativity, enabled discovery and upheld the uniqueness and dignity of human beings.

Linking religious, political, and economic liberty, the Judeo-Christian culture has established the rule of law, codified respect for human rights and conceived constitutional democracy. It has engendered development of science and technology, as well as economic creativity and innovation.

In contrast, the contemporary materialistic worldview denies the intrinsic dignity and freedom of human beings and enfeebles scientific creativity and technological innovation. Its vision of a closing circle of human possibilities on a planet of limited horizons summons instead the deadening ideologies of scarcity, conflict, mutual suspicion and despair.

Discovery Institute

The Spirit of Propeller is a nonprofit organization focused on youth development. It received its nonprofit status in 1986.

The purpose of the Spirit of Propeller is to provide youth development and maritime training opportunities for Sea Scouts and all other youth in the greater Seattle Area. We own and operate the Youth Training Vessel "Propeller" as well as a fleet of sailing vessels to accomplish our training goals.
The Sea Scout Ship Propeller's current youth membership of 18 young men and women are following in the long tradition of our seafaring alumni. Our alumni include Navy and Coast Guard Admirals, Captains, Commanders and enlisted personal. Many have graduated from Maritime academies and are working (or have worked) in the commercial sector as captains, engineers and deckhands.

Since 1957, the Sea Scout Ship Propeller and her crew have facilitated the transportation of over 21,500 Boy Scouts and their leaders to camps, islands and fun locations all around Puget Sound.

Each year, our youth participants provide over 2650 hours of Community Service hours. We provided a Holiday Christmas Cruise for 115 Special Needs people, collected more than 640 cubic feet of recyclables at the SeaFair Hydro Race Log Boom, Supported Port of Seattle “High School Career Day and Fall Fisherman’s Festival, assisted "The Mission to Seafarers" in packaging "Ditty Bags" gifts for distribution to merchant mariners aboard ships in port during the
Christmas season.

The National Girls Collaborative Project (NGCP) brings together organizations committed to informing and encouraging girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). NGCP connects, creates, and collaborates with advocates for transformative change to advance the agenda in gender equity and expand girls’ participation in STEM. For more than 20 years, we have been transforming STEM.
