Since 2016, Kiva has extended loans to refugees with a 97% repayment rate, dispelling myths and breaking through systemic barriers.

Our data shows that 76% of borrowers could not secure funding elsewhere, highlighting Kiva's role as a critical financial lifeline for small businesses.

Airbnb.org’s mission is to unlock the power of sharing space, resources, and support in times of need. 

Airbnb.org opens homes in a times of crisis.  We facilitate emergency housing for people displaced by disaster or conflict, especially those from marginalized communities hardest hit by crisis.  Airbnb.org works with communities and nonprofit partners to offer emergency temporary housing.  We have housed over 250,000 guests during times of need.  

We do this by providing short-term, quality and free emergency housing to people displaced by natural disasters and conflict, inspiring and empowering people to act as hosts and support their community, and staying responsive to crises by innovating and leveraging our strengths.

We amplify recovery efforts for individuals by providing safety, financial relief, psychological wellbeing, and connections to the community.   Ultimately, by making connections between hosts and guests, we strengthen and build social cohesion in communities.

We enable local health care providers to donate surgical and specialty care to people in need.

Operation Access coordinates surgical and specialty care for people who need it.  In collaboration with a network of over 100 Northern California community clinics, we have identified patients in need of care, and matched them with volunteer medical professionals who have donated over 27,000 surgical procedures and diagnostic services to more than 18,000 people. Our volunteers restore the health and quality of life of patients and their families. 

Our network of volunteers, hospitals, and ambulatory care centers offer these services to eligible adults free of charge. Over 1,000 medical volunteers, over 100 medical groups, and 75 hospitals and ambulatory care centers donate a wide variety of outpatient surgical and specialty care to clients who live in Northern California.

Our target population faces structural inequality because of their limited income, immigration status, race, language, and ethnicity. They grapple with discrimination in health care, jobs, education, and housing. Without sufficient income, they cannot afford health insurance coverage, and because of their immigration status they are not eligible for health coverage.

We offer a solution that provides a referral pathway for community clinic patients who need specialty medical services most clinics cannot provide. Our volunteers donate their time and expertise to treat people in need at no cost to the patients. We are often the only resource for community clinic patients who need, but cannot afford, surgery or specialty care.

Leleka Foundation is a US-based charitable organization that raises funds for implementing various social and medical projects in Ukraine.

In the wake of the massive Russian invasion of Ukraine that started in February 2022, we have been procuring and supplying critical medical supplies to Ukraine’s defenders and civilians. For this purpose, we have rebuilt the logistics chain to deliver all supplies to Ukraine where our volunteers distribute them among end users at no cost.
